Never Go Tank in Solo Q

Your team will make your tanking useless 99% of the time. Every time I go tank I lose unless an ally was fed to begin with (aka competent). But 99% of the time your allies go negative in lane or even which is a sign that you should probly carry these bricks by building damage. And what happens when you tell incompetents to group? Nope, that's what. And when you tell them to make presence so you can split since you're stronger than anyone on the other team? A 5v1 happens while your team will be off hiding behind a base turret somewhere or you just end up sitting in a side bush waiting for 3 minutes until they finally huddle together and push forward. Meanwhile the enemy took baron.

So if you ever feel like winning a game and you're playing a Bruiser. Do yourself a favor and carry the game yourself, because your allies won't.

Tanks win lane lose game. Bruisers win lane win game.

This should be rephrased to say never build tank if it looks like you're going to need to carry (/be able to carry).

I say this because the number of times I've tried to carry a game when none of my allies built tank resulted in my inability to carry was ridiculous.

For example, I recently played as ahri. Whole team was behind but I was 8/5. I made a sweet play 1v3 killed their jungler and sent the other 2 running. My jungler and adc were on their way, so I called Baron (had assumed the jungler built some tank, considering he'd been behind, my mistake for not checking.though). Anyways we go Baron and can't kill it because the jungler gets executed in like 3 attacks. I was like wtf then realized he was only building damage. Had he built anything tanky, corki and I had the damage and that Baron would have either won the game or at least brought us back in to contention (I could 1v1 anyone on their team, so I would have split pushed with Baron).

If you are going to carry, build damage. If you're not, and you're a jungle/top (and sometimes support - blitz, Leona, thresh, etc...) then build tank and give your team a chance to carry you.

Note: do not attempt when you know you lack the ability to carry. In this case go full tank.

Also as a support tank go tank.

I agree.

Allow me to simplify: Never play Solo Queue.

They say that you miss every shot you don't take. Turns out, you lose every lane you don't play. Get friends, play premade. Solo queue isn't enjoyable, even when you're not building tank.

I find this to be the best solution. Even if you don't have friends there are always people hanging around in awesome groups such as highkoalatygaming's that would be happy to hop in a game with you. They're all on TS.

It's just when noone was available i went solo only to be disappointed in m lackluster allies.

That feeling when you initiate as Leona and your ADC never ever follows up.

+1

That feeling when you Malph ult in and catch the Caitlyn ,Fizz and Nidalee under our own tower and everyone runs away....but then realizes you are living because you have item 3075 ,item 3143 anditem 3102.....and tries to come back and actually do damage to ANY of them, but in the process die because they spent 10 seconds running away and i couldn't 1v3. ugh

It doesn't get any better even at the diamond level because, let's be honest here, not all diamonds are the gods people seem to think they are. Of the 2% probly only 50% are. Not that I'm one to talk being D V.

ya this sounds more like an "always pick a carry if you can carry" thing less about tanks so much though they are included.

or things like this happen - i went 22/13/26 on heimer we lost. i carried but since heimers not a carry i cant carry for the win. i am top stats for the whole team in everything but wards(2nd in that) our team also out stats them in every category- IE there team was worse then ours mechanically which means we SHOULD win. BUT our team has severe issues with some mechanics that are required to win like grouping up or defending or distracting while a split push occurs or even backing off after successful split to get away and rejoin team , also because grouping is an issue objectives become one too as noted by the times we took objectives.

So heres a great example i could carry but didnt pick one, didnt take a tank but a mage so i conclude this issue to the carry role if you can , not avoid tanks all together. thanks for your time :P

Mmm for the most part ya. But it's moreso "If you picked a champion with the intent to tank but you can tell your team isn't worth tanking for just build selfishly instead."

Yeah, I never go full tank. With most bruisers, I'll build an intermediate damage item like Tiamat/ Hexdrinker/ Cutlass/ Bruta, get tanky for teamfights, then finish up my damage item (and possibly go for a 2'nd).
