Sometimes, I wish more champions could be more diverse.

There are champions that are pretty diverse; meaning they can fit into more than one role.

Gnar is a prime example. Gnar can be a ADC (Marksman), Fighter, Tank, and even a Support. But he isn't the only one, there's Kayle, Kennen, Morgana, Kindred, Ryze, Thresh, Ezreal, Ahri, Teemo, TwistedFate, Sion, Yasuo, Braum, Tahm Kench, Bard, Graves, Dr Mundo, and Ekko. And, unless you play even some of these guys a ton, its hard to use them other than intended.

I don't want to go into specifics because it'd be long, boring, and flawed by my standards but there are many champions that could be made more diverse to fit other roles. Like Zac, Udyr, Fiddlesticks, Blitzcrank, Leona, Twitch, and more.

There are plenty of champions that can be played effectively in other roles, but you'll get shit from your team for trying it. Things like Support Maokai, AD Assassin Jarvan, Jungle Alistar, etc can work great, but because they are unconventional people won't like it almost strictly because it's different. I say if you're confident in what you're doing, then go for it. Plenty of players have climbed the ranked ladder playing strange things (Support Volibear, ADC Kennen)

what makes you think gnar can play ADC and is diverse however Udyr is somehow not diverse?

Gnar adc and support are extremely weak though... As much as I'd love to use my favorite champions in every role it's not realistic. You would need to drastically change the kits of a lot of champions to make them work in multiple roles so who they are is essentially destroyed. The alternative is changing numbers around to make them able to do more/less damage to fit a different role but that would just make them overall worse in their intended role which is also a negative.

I just want Supports to be able to be a mage. So far the two legit supports as mage are Lulu and Karma (though I'm still a little skeptical whether Karma was mage then becomes support). Sona is a little too risky on either being really good or just isn't gonna do anything. I'd love to see Janna Nami Soraka being offlaner but of course to an acceptable level.

I agree, champions being able to play different roles is great.

But gnar really isn't a prime example of that. Please don't play gnar as an adc or as a support. These wacky special snowflake builds for a lot of champions really only work if you're good, the enemy is bad, and you're really far ahead to the point where you could build practically anything and win.
