84 armor pen at level 18 is a huge amount and you get 30% cdr from lethality items + death's dance. Lethality can't put someone into negative armor so black cleaver seems like it is a waste early and later on 
or 
are much better options if an ad picks up armor. Maybe if you are a full ad team it works, but right now I see no point in picking it up.

Dr Poro5 votesWhy exactly is this a problem? Black Cleaver is intended for fighters in the first place. It wasn't a big issue that it was viable on assassins, but that's not the goal for this item. Assassins have a better build? Good for them.

Shablagoo1 votesBC wont die man because you only have 20% cd with that build, the hp, movespeed in fights, and armor reduction make the item so good for assassins. Especially because the burst window is reduced it helps to have more hp too.

Not getting it opens up a death's dance for 30%, which is plenty or you can take 10% scaling runes.

Currently if you go full lethality you get so much pen the armor reduction is useless. Unless they build multiple armor items, at which point a last whisper item is better. I'm having quite a good time using it like this

it helps to have more hp too.
Edge of night gives hp now, which mixed with death's dance sustain is really really nice.

nm10101 votesYeah I think stormraiders is pretty good a lot of the time, I picked it up earlier today and it was pretty effective. And you could always forgo a lethality item if you really like black cleaver, but if I had to guess full lethality is going to be standard build again. The damage from this is actually just nuts
