PSA.. Roots/snares are NOT STUNS
and to be clear ROOTS ARE NOT STUNS
a root still allows u to auto or cast any ability or summoner u want as long as they arn't movement abilities
unless of course you are

then you can ignore the (you cant cast movement abilities) because riot cant code.
now if you are a melee champ with ONLY melee abilities. then it might be effectively the same if you are rooted at range.
but those champ are generally inherently VERY tanky,
even champions like 
not only have a ranged ultimate, but he can break CC
champions like 
can still pull you toward him if your in range.
melee champs arn't "helpless" if rooted, as most champ that can root you.. CANT KILL YOU.
if u compare that to a range champion like 
you can root a enemy all you want.. they can still cast spells back at you, adc can still auto you if your in range its a MASSIVE difference.
in fact silences on any champion outside of an ADC are or someone with over 2k hp are MUCH stronger than roots.
as that stops everything, and yeah u can WALK but, a SILENCE on a mage is effectively a stun, even more than a root is on a melee champ.
if u get silences as a mage, your are completely helpless until its over... a mage auto.. isn't going to do jack shit, even with a 
and the difference in helpless less of a rooted melee champ with 3-4k hp and likely Resistance .. and a mage with 1-2k hp.. is a pretty significant difference.
and no.. during a silence.. u cant use 
either, so don't even TRY to bring that up.
now when u say things like
Q stun.
IT DOES NOT STUN
Q does NOT stun for 3 seconds..
in fact actually DOES have a stun.
its on her ultimate.. and it requires her to be in range of the enemy for THREE SECONDS..
and is generally used to try to get within range and stun AS MANY TARGETS AS POSSIBLE.
and to do this and not get murdered, it generally takes a activation.
which makes it so they can very easily dash or flash out of range.
also it means regardless of if u have or not, u NEED to styay alive .. in the middle of 5 people... for .5 seconds.
because your R takes 3 seconds to go off, and only lasts 2.5.
don't complain
"i got stunned by ."
or tell your to "stun them", and then wonder why she used her "ultimate" and not her Q.
if your a melee champ.. with ZERO ranged abilities of ANY KIND.. then maybe i can find your lack of knowledge acceptable if you one trick that champion.
but unless that is the case... please learn the difference.

if u STUN him you likely wont.
if u don't believe me.. try out some champion with roots.. and land them on champs like 
then walk right up to them and tell me how that works out for you.. because i can guarantee you.
they're NOT stunned.
