Might want to main support for season 7

Was wondering if anyone could point me towards a good advanced guide for general supporting. Like a website or something. I tried YT but I'm looking for something a little more constructed and I'm not sure I wanna go into Skill-capped again as they pretty much just show you how to carry low elo.

if you are looking to carry games or whatever support is not the role lol There is a reason support mains climb with other roles. But if you must just focus on warding, trading, fore sight, positioning. And play carry champions like zyra, soraka, karma.

funny that challenger advice gets down voted xD typical boards community of bronze players. Legit copied what a challenger coach says because its true l0l.

That is where you are wrong. Plenty of people climb as support mains. You just need to know how to.

its funny that you monkeys down vote me since Im the one who can actually climb for 1 and for 2 my advice is the same as challenger players so you being a gold tsm casual saying "im wrong" is just plain retarded son.

I also told you that you can climb if you chose the carry champions but its still not ideal. But typical tsm fan, has the logo, stuck in gold, arguing with challenger logic, cant read. Check, check ,check anddddd check.

Well, as a support. Most want you to play as support. This means, no ignite, no building a traditional build other than support items. For me, I love going ignite support, and building normal items cause the champions I take support can be good end game carries. So you won't catch me playing Soraka, or someone.

I think I could help you with my whacky idea's, but yeah, I would suggest go youtube again, and look for someone who is a support main. Also, Redmercy promotes "proguides" often which is like this membership thing where you can ask high level players questions.

I could help, but I would ask a lot of questions. What champions do you take support? Are you aggressive or passive? How well is your warding? Do you help your ADC with last hitting? How well is your map awareness? Do you watch the map every other second, or once every minute? How many mistakes do you make per game on average. What match ups do you hate going against? Yadda yadda

no ignite? what kind of boosted monkeys do you see xD its actually really bad to take exhaust in some match ups.

I want to say because of bronze, but I think it's more than just "because it's bronze". I think anything up to like high diamond, people will cry if you don't take exhaust for some reason. I really don't like exhaust, then again, I play for kills, I'm a bad support in that sense, but I'm going to take the kill if I can get it cause champions I play aren't the normal supports like soraka, alistar, and brahm and what not. I would do like Shen, Poppy, Tahm kench supports, and maybe some off meta ones.

It annoys me when someone cries about you taking a kill as a kill support who can carry. You don't see people in the LCS crying at their team support for taking a kill, and they play legit supports and go support items. I'm going carry/kill support.

I trust in myself more than I do anyone else. So I'm of course going to do what I feel is best. I seriously have seen so many people threaten to feed, or "report" if I don't go a certain summoner spell. Even when I played with high plats, and low diamonds. It's sad.

Basically ADC's are selfish kinda, and not considerate of supports.

in a sense but think of how everyone and bad players see it. Adc is damage support helps the adc. Not maximizing helping the adc makes them think they are weaker when all they have to do is farm. Kinda like how the jungler gets blamed for lanes losing even though its not actually his fault.

Yeah hate jungling and seeing people complain about the jungler not ganking when they don't even have to.

You could do janna top, or mid, and if you played safe, you wouldn't die once. People don't understand that. I seen a Nami in diamond go top, and somehow win lane cause the enemy thought "well, I can push" and they get ganked by her jungler, and after 2 or 3 deaths, the nami somehow can now 1v1 that top laner. ( I actually seen this in a diamond ranked game when spectating was allowed and featured).

Junglers should not help a lane that's losing cause typically, that player losing the lane is going to keep losing after and making more mistakes. They should instead gank winning lanes to furthermore get them ahead and farm.

Unfortunately solomid appears to have taken down their generic guides, including any Support guides that may have existed. I recommend reading / watching multiple champion guides because sometimes they cover concepts of the role beyond the champion.... It's a pain but it may fill in knowledge gaps... I used to read some guides by Xpecial. They're from past seasons but the concepts may carry over.

I can't think of one generic guide better than the others that would be around still, unfortunately....

There are some alright pieces of information on the board, at times. This may be useful as maybe a kinda advanced technique: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/ugkXjzeq-the-dos-and-donts-of-trading-stance

Here's an Xpecial guide. I may have read it before. I'm not reading it all right now, but at a glance it's probably fine: https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/1agses/50_tips_how_to_come_a_better_supporter_by_xpecial/

You could talk to some Support mains and knowledgeable people directly. Check out Painlessdeath22, a Challenger Support Main:

https://www.twitch.tv/painlessdeath22

You can watch him play and the chat is pretty friendly. He's kinda responsive to it. Ask questions and share thoughts. Good luck.

Yeah finding support guides on pro-hosted websites isn't that easy. I'm so pissed that skill-capped has literally everything exept support guides. I'll check it out thx.

Play Braum, run 18 armour and 11 AD in runes, take grasp of the undying, force fights at level 2 and snowball. General tactic :P

add me in game and ask questions if you want, not sure exactly what you are looking for here. champions wise if you are looking to move gold+ passive supports [while boring af are extremely dominant because players are so prone to tilting on failed ganks/roams. if you are looking for something a little more spicy i recommend alistar :P
