My take on Silver elo so far - Message to silver players (RANT)

Oi, I'm still pretty fucking tilted right now. Finished playing 4-5 games on my smurfs. I'm currently sitting at Silver 1 and Silver 2 with them.

I've been playing on my smurfs for the past week to get them to gold before the end of the season, and this comes from deep down. What I say here, if you choose to accept it, will blow your fucking mind.

Here it is: The main reason people lose in Silver elo, is because they give up so. fucking. easily.

Now, I'm not saying everyone in Silver is like that. But a clear half is. Either on my team, or on the enemy's, I've had rage quitters, ragers or inters in every. single. game. I cannot for the life of me understand why people go into ranked games expecting the win to be easy, expecting this to be a walk in the fucking park, give up because its actually demanding an effort from them, ff at 20 in a perfectly winnable game, AND THEN go complain that they are ''stuck in elo hell''. Its bat shit crazy.

You guys, for those it concerns, need to get your shit together. You are not the next Faker, your game is NOT over because ''the adc got fb we can't come back from that'', this aint LCK fam, its silver elo in NA, you could go 15k gold in deficit and still turn Summoner's rift around with a single 5v5 baron ace. I,ve seen it, I've done it, its not magic, its called ''NOT GIVING UP WHEN SHIT GETS HARD''. Your team is 0-4 at 10 minutes? Fine! Farm up, play safe and wait for ganks or them to make a stupid mistake. Top and mid are 0/2/0 but bot lane is 4/0/3? Well shit fam, guess what, HE CAN CARRY THIS! Focus HIS lane, snowball HIS ass, and fucking man up! The game might take longer, but at least you earned the LP you get!

There. Its all out. Thank you for listening to me, I am exhausted from playing league today and I'm heading to work lol.

EDIT: Just wanna clarify for those who get salty: i am not struggling in silver. My post is about people giving up. That includes the enemy team. I can carry silver.

The biggest different between Gold and Silver players is understanding how to play from behind.

Well I'm halfway a good Silver lol, I never surrender and i play safe when things get bad.

I just need to learn how to snowball a different lane instead if snatching every kill i cab get just to catch up.

Good advice, I was afriad you were going to call us all hopeless garbage. +1.

I placed in Silver V about a week or two ago. This ELO is hell. Supports don't buy sightstone, people AFK and troll over such simple things. We have no vision and three people are AFK. God help us all.

The thing about people giving up is they don't see the protential of someone carrying and they don't know the art of getting carried.

TL;DR I've had a lot of bad experiences in ranked, people are toxic and Silver/bronze do indeed suck sometimes, but there is some good people in it too. Please dont give up and dont be a douche.

I have been stuck in silver for this whole season, trying to get to gold. Currently I am silver II, 0lp.

And honestly, you're not wrong. People do give up in this elo. ** A lot. ** I've been through a lot in ranked this season, afk's, trolls, intentional feeders, ragers and flamers. I've been demoted, I've been in tilt. I've played games where everyone feeds, gives up and surrenders, or after first blood my team doesn't even try and ff's@20. Games where my team has given up are just to common. This is silver, people throw. Often. Just because you're behind doesn't mean its a auto lose. I play with mid-high silver and low gold, yet still people are so uninformed about this game its astonishing. I dont get it, some people dont know how to play passive. They don't understand how to freeze lane, how to farm under tower so they just mindlessly fight their lane opponent even knowing they fed two kills already to them. Whenever it gets hard everyone just quits, like why? **WHY?**I'm not saying that everything is my team's fault, I make mistakes too and I recognize that, but some people dont and just blame everything on one person.I had a player afk in a game we were winning because one person called out a mistake they made. The afk wanted them to apologize, but the person was so stubborn they didn't, causing us to lose the game. Why couldn't you apologize so we could win the game? Cmon man ;-; I apologize even when something isn't my fault, just to prevent the ragers and trolls from freaking out. I try to calm them some, but that doesn't always work sadly. Quitting and giving up in this elo is too common, even when its for another reason like wanting a apology. I don't understand this elo, this game's players. I've met few, nice understanding and chill players in silver. I know higher elo's are also hell, but at least you have players that know what they're doing. The least you can do when you're losing is still try. Please dont give up guys, farm, stall, ward, group, do whatever you need to win. And please, dont be a asshole.

This happens in all tiers actually. It even happens in Diamond. My bot lane feeds, then (usually) the adc starts going on and on about how we have no chance of winning and that we should ff. Sometimes they even go afk if we don't surrender.

I had a game last night (I am silver 2), Our vayne was 2/8/1... I was 0/1/10 on morgana sup, Everything would go on cooldown, I'd back off and my adc would go in and die.

Our jungler made a bad dragon call we got aced, enemy team pushed down mid and taking inhib.

We lost the next fight too and it was a desperate fight to protect the nexus.

We were on the edge, I was on the edge. me - "Man I really should ban Vayne next game I hate playing with vaynes" them- "Shut up arsehole, hit a goddamn snare, use your E properly" me - "Hey uncalled for, I am hitting tons of snares"- I hit my first three in lane and had been hitting them consistantly.

Team - "Man vayne sucks" Me- "They give me hope that anyone can make it to platinum" (they were plat last season)

Then... everything changed... it turned out that all the damage of the enemy team... was on the support Annie. But without farm suddenly couldn't keep up with what we were putting out and magic resist we built. I had long since given up on supporting vayne now I was protecting the rest of my team. Amumu getting good iniation, Darius pulling squishies... me poping ulti and hitting zhonya's.... Vayne turning up after the start of the fight and tearing the enemy apart.

Annie basiclly ended up burning too much of her burst on me, trying to kill me before my ulti went off, which I could shiled/hourglass/locket. then Vayne would run in now untargeted.

Vayne after starting 2/8 ended up 20/12/8... (I was 1/5/29).. It was like they let thier little brother play the first half of the game.

Still I should ban vayne because vayne adcs and me are never on the same page.

i actually managed to get to silver 3 100 lp a bit back, then out of nowhere this hit me like a plague. i fell to silver 5 with more than 3/4ths of my games with an afk within 15 minutes, or bot lane raging at each other and the other 2 ff'ing from tilt in entirely winnable games.

silver 2 now at least.

It doesn't matter. Even if they don't give up, they don't know how to capitalize. They'll get that baron, but waste it, or just use it to grab kills instead of focusing on pushing out. Same applies to the other team as well. They will also turn it around. You need to force them into thinking they can win.
