Why does Yuumi provide everything?

Nhika··2 votes·1,389 views

Janna - purely shields, decent CC Lulu - purely shields, movement speed Taric - heal shield

Yuumi - better heals than other supports, better movement speed, better ultimate, better poke, PASSIVE based shield at no cost (gives mana)

So a Yuumi playing into a Janna could literally just sit in lane afk, pressing W every now and then and his laner wins by default because the enemy team HAS to recall first?

Yuumi doesn't provide dmg, she doesn't provide tank....she doesn't provide any reliable hard CC...

60% slow, with a 25% movespeed MINIMUM isn't reliable CC?

WHY IS EVERYONE IN THIS THREAD BLIND THAT YUUMI IS STILL BROKEN

DESPITE A RECENT NERF THAT CHANGED NOTHING? EXCEPT RAISE HER BASE HEALTH LOLOLOL

Strong=!reliable.

Reliable means it's easy enough to land and not on a super long cooldown. Annie's passive is very reliable CC, as is Nasus's W or Ashe's passive, since they're all point and click (or can be), but not all reliable CC is point and click. Yuumi's Q is not reliable CC because you have to loop it around to actually slow someone - It's too short-range otherwise.

Meanwhile, strong CC is that which is highly effective. Morg's Q, Ashe's R, Blitz's Q....These are all strong CC abilities, arguably the three strongest in the entire game (All three turn teamfights on their own - Ashe's is the longest stun in the game, Morg's Q is a 3 fucking second root on a moderate cooldown, and Blitz's Q is death for any squishy). Yuumi's slow gets strong at a 80% slow at rank 6, but starts off at just a 40% 1.25s slow, and there are many people who call all slows except for Nasus's and Zilean's slows weak - Theirs are only strong (to these people) because it's a 99% slow from Zilean at rank 5 and Nasus's is up to 95% at rank 5 with a 47.5% cripple.

Calling Yuumi's Q slow strong is up for debate (it's definitely a strong slow once you hit rank 6 with it, but only a 40% slow rank 1), especially if you don't consider most slows strong at all, but calling it reliable is just plain wrong.

I am confused as to where the 60% came in, as well. It's literally never a 60% slow - rank 3 is 56% and rank 4 is 64%. No other ability of hers is a slow, and slows don't stack...Ghosts are a 40% slow and GLP is a 65% slow, and I can't think of any other slowing items she would buy.

nope a single slow isn't reliable CC, there is so many ways to reduce or outright negate slows right now, lulu can literally turn the yi ripping your face off into a cupcake for 2 seconds, yuumi can....slow him.....she can....SLOW YI, the champ with slow immunity built into his ult, and by the time she finally gets the root on her ult oops her adc is dead, janna can knock yi up or knock him away, lulu can poly, nami can bubble, taric can stun

I mean her damage is rather reliable due to the fact that you can easily control the q, and the fact that it is kind of glitchy. By glitchy I mean it will go slightly outside of her q range still hit, "disappear out of the range or timer" and still hit, and sometimes it will glitch around a minion, or teammate and hit. The range thing also happens with jhin ult sometimes it goes like a mm past its range. There is also the fact that riot when nerfing her increased her max hp, because cut down was increasing her damage on q to about 130 base plus the comet hit if they take that. You should also really watch pro games with yuumi in them if you don't believe she provides alot. It just comes down to how the yuumi plays. The top 2 supports that need a bit of balancing not just for pro play, but also in normal games is sona, and yuumi.

I never said she doesn't provide a lot, what i was getting at is that she doesn't do everything, and plus her early poke is alright but its definitely not sona tier, and for late game teamfighting she provides next to no dmg (like her ult says it does a decent amount...but it really feels like it's doing nothing

Can we stop being bias when comparing champions at the very least please?

Her ultimate counts as a heal for the sake of how this game functions.

The only thing 'healed' is a boost in max health based off of a percentage of their bonus health, so it's really just a max hp increase. Don't be a turd.

Feel free to test it out in a practice game, it counts as a heal.

Fair enough, guess I'm the turd. [zombie-nunu-bummed]

Still counts for the argument however, I dare to say.

Current and Max HP are both increased on cast, but after the duration only Max HP is removed. They only 'lose' Current HP if their Current HP becomes higher than Max HP.

Example: Ashe is at 1 HP out of 1000, Lulu ult's Ashe for +450/+450. Ashe is now at 451/1450 HP. After 7 seconds (assuming no other changes) Ashe loses the +450 Max HP and is now at 451/1000 HP.

It is not -technically- a heal (e.g. Grievous Wounds does nothing to it), but it is -effectively- a heal.

I believe we forgot to mention 99% untargetability, stasis invulnerability (bard can't stop yuumi by ulting her target), raw damage potential, ally speed ups, enemy slows, roots, more efficient summoner (two flashes/tps for one), the ability to utilize every teammate's summoner in succession, benefit from allies qss/zhonya's, can benefit from multiple allies zhonya's if necessary, argueably better ult than Janna on a much lower cd and definitely better healing capability with the ability to top damage charts.

What is kit really missing? So she can't take a hit...who cares? Fanatic's proven you can pair it with the worst champion in Lol pro scene Garen and succeed on the back of a 'support'. Beyond that the ability to physically move the enemy, doesn't need with how strong her poke is.

It's just insult to injury that league even calls this champion a support.

You know when you just list out a champion's kit, they also sound OP as shit right?

You do know Yuumi is the lowest win rate support in the game by far right? Side note, 4 months?

Oh shit, it is even worst then that, Yuumi has the lowest win rate in the game period.

Yumis heals are not better in lane phase, they are better than tarics but then... everythign is. The passive has the cost of having too dismount and auto someone.

Your assement of Yumi vs Janna is untrue, Yumi will have too dismount and proc passive if she pokes them out.

'

Yumi is fairly overpowered played correctly and more than fairly with voice comms im sure. I will give you that.

DuskDaUmbreon1 votes

Ah, yes, because heals shields and CC are everything.

Not, you know, CC usable as peel or durability or strength of CC or damage or the fact that her heal is actually pretty weak in lane or her CC being on her ult or any other things that make supports.

Also Lulu has good poke and has CC as well? She has her fucking polymorph you can't say she's only shields when she fucking has Polymorph.

Crispy0Snake1 votes

There's one thing you're missing, and that's item 3098

Yuumi has to buy this item because it synergises well with her first item item 3174 and crucially it forces her to lane.

She cannot stay attached and autowin as you say. She has to proc Frostfang gold to have any gold income. This forces her to interact with the lane, and gives you the opportunity to snag her in cc and kill her or chunk her down

Yuumi really struggles into comps that have hard engage, this is because she can help an ADC kite and chase but she cannot save her AD from something like Leona ERQ, Sej ult, Ali combo... sure she CAN build item 3222 for some if those but most players won't, believing that building both item 3028 items is a dumb idea

Funny, cause he is among the supports with the highest winrates right now.

Blåsigt1 votes

To be honest, her entire concept is kinda bonkers - to be able to remove one’s self from an vulnerability while still providing all of a support’s utility is kinda crazy. Having played her once, my experience playing her is pretty limited. That being said, I have a lot of experience playing the support role. Having the ability to latch onto your adc ( for laning purposes ) is crazy strong.

Failog1 votes

Why the fuck is this down voted? Her kit is clearly overloaded. Just the latest garbage produced by the trash tier company known as Riot.

I hope Riot realizes that when players who are businessmen start companies....most of them will not hire anyone who ever worked at Riot out of pure spite, because fuck Riot.
