Can a Rioter please make a post about percent max health true damage and sticky it to this board
because a good portion of the people here seem to get massively triggered every time they see the phrase and we're starting to see multiple people posting about how angry the very existence of it makes them daily.
Maybe they won't understand it's intended to normalize damage against targets of various defense levels and that the counterplay is built into the kit of each champion (note that champions can have counterplay and still be strong/op because of numbers) but I feel like it's not gonna get into people heads unless they stare at the answer long enough.
I think Meddler (might've been someone else i don't remember) did a good job of explaining it some time ago but if it's buried in an old thread that isn't gonna see the light of day again it's not gonna educate people nearly as much if it was stickied to the forum.
So please Riot, don't let this epidemic of ignorance go on any longer.
has a nuts damage steroid on ult, flat true damage on W, mixed with
she can get surprisingly bursty too, so she mops the floor with carries and melts tanks just the same.
has the same problem as Darius, it's way to easy for him to get on you, and too hard to get away once he is. He can roll all over carries, and the %max HP true damage just makes it worse when you factor in that when he's dealing %max HP true damage, his ult is ALSO true damage so he can finish off anyone squishy at 35-40% health. As another not, it makes him win any fights with a tank if they're the villain (admittedly being addressed in the next patch, as killing him in lane won't make you the villain anymore).
is about the only spot where it is halfway working "as intended" as there's some way to counterPLAY the mechanic since you can't counterBUILD it. But even there it's not perfect as they gave it an AD scaling, so as she's getting to be a bigger treat to assassinate your carries, she's ALSO getting to chunk tanks for more and more of their health.
