Elise players are gonna have to suffer for another patch.

CatSith··20 votes·1,269 views

The item changes in 5.13 isn't even significant to Elise. While other viable AP champions are gonna be even stronger. Delaying a buff a champion whose scaling won't be affected by the tiny ap changes to items is down right wrong. She has a clear problem in her sustain because of the nerf they placed for her new one at 5.12 and riot didn't even acknowledge it.

You have managed to "suffer" for like 2 seasons now, you can handle waiting 2 weeks for them to adjust her properly.

CatSith5 votes

Because the recent heal change made it even harder for Elise players.

Silents4292 votes

Except some of her core items are getting buffed next patch, along with followup changes.

CatSith4 votes

Core Item(s)? you mean only item 3151. other items are getting a measly 20 ap that isn't significant for Elise.

Silents4294 votes

Are you actually complaining still?

Is this the ungrateful nature of some players? Elise is getting buffed and followup changes are occurring and you still complain, You really can't handle what is 1 more week at this point until further changes occur?

You are literally getting what you want for Elise. FIXES.

CatSith2 votes

She shouldn't have to wait for another patch cycle for a buff she should have gotten in the last patch. Their only excuse to delay it was because of measly changes to ap items in the next patch.

Ungrateful nature of some players? The last buff they promised was suppose to fix her Sustain because its a regulated heal whenever she attacks in spider form but when it was released it was nerfed to a insignificant amount of heal that didn't help her late game like they said it would.

If you don't like a post, there is an easy solution.

Don't read it.

I shouldn't have to wait years for Yorick to get reworked but that doesn't mean I am going to complain about it when it shows up.

they can't up and make massive changes without seeing results, this is told time and time again they need statistics from live, if the heal was a nerf they will fix it.

But you can't do that, you need to complain because it didn't happen sooner.

CatSith3 votes

"complain" "complain" that's all you say, its almost like you yourself is "complaining." Lol dude seriously if you aren't here to talk about Elise. Then go find another thread.

Like i said before, If you don't like a thread don't "complain" about it. You can go to another one.

Celeste Benal2 votes

Disagreed.

Core AP items pass.

Elise can use a number of those items, especially the ones that also give HP, like Liandry's and Rylai's. Morellonomicon is still a cheap AP item with lots of CDR. Even Nashor's will favor her kit more because she has so many on-hits now. (For the record: on-hit Elise sucks ballz. Never try it. But it will be better pending 5.13.)

CatSith1 votes

lol Rylai's change isnt gonna help her sustain nor power, a better slow? sure. item 3165 was just an item build change. Nashors is a 20 ap boost. It will boost her on hit damage yeah, but is that really what she needs? no.

The only good change is the boost in ap for item 3151 , like i said to someone else. The other items wont change the fact that she lacks sustain and wont boost her damage noticeably because of her scaling, yet other viable ap champions will be stronger.

There are millions of players compared to a measly group of professional players.

So no.

Saying we shouldn't buff a champion because X champion aren't seen in pro play is stupid and wrong.

Fiora, gp and Taric need reworks not buffs.

It makes no sense to spend time to buff champions whom are getting reworked. Its a waste of their time to work hard on a buff that possibly could get slated during the rework process.

It makes perfect sense to buff champions who aren't doing well. She has the lowest win rate and it probably should be even lower, but since shes so unpopular there wont be enough statistics to back that up.

CatSith1 votes

lol, If shes so far under powered why isn't she below Elise in win rate and popularity? Because she is playable for regular ranked play. She is up for a rework because her abilities have no synergy. Shes just an auto attack bot with a untarget-able ultimate.

Lol where is the statistics that support your claims? She is far more popular than Elise.

Not trying to be rude, but my understanding is that Fiora and Tryndamere are not picked because all they bring is damage or fall back to split pushing. This can be done with several champs that don't give away your team comp and/or have better team fighting capabilities. They can be good in certain team comps that need this, but most cases teams can get away with using more teamfight friendly champs that can split push or item 3060 on a support. Also Gangplank Taric are getting reworks so that point is mute.

CatSith1 votes

My god, what is with you with pro players. They are probably less than 1% of the player base. They cant take all accounts to a champion needing a buff. Sure they can give insight but you cant do accurate statistic with the little amount of pro players. Fiora is in need of a REWORK not buff, she DOESN"T NEED A BUFF.

Fiora and Tryndamere will not see professional play unless they are grossly overpowered. Both are countered heavily by coordinated play, so even if they are viable in solo queue (they both are), they won't be viable professionally. Taric is also viable, but since his kit is so basic and doesn't bring anything unique, he's not going to be played unless he's overpowered like he was in season 2. He's a boring champion who needs a rework. GP is the only one I can agree with, but he's still better than Elise, and he has a rework confirmed to be coming. Elise needs it more.

A Miss Fortune1 votes

Tryndamere? Buffs? That guy needs to be gutted so all of his mains feel bad for playing him and then 100% reworked on a Sion-tier rework. He's the definition of broken. You can't balance him out no matter what you do, he's either going to be overpowered like he is now and will either carry the game ending it with one shotting everyone 1v5 penta, or he will get behind and simply split push until the game is over because he will still outduel almost everyone in the game and is hard to tackle down in general.

As for Ganpglank, he is being reworked.

Taric, is being reworked.

Fiora, is being reworked.

None of them need buffs but need reworks.

After reading your comments, I feel I should inform you that GP Trynd and Fiora are all on the rework list because they have kits that can't be consistently viable without being completely broken. I mean, look at warwick! When is the last time you have seen him be balanced, and picked in competitive without being super broken during that patch? Elise is new, she can be viable without reworking her whole kit, the buffing/nerfing team should be focused on Elise in her current state rather than focusing on finding balance in champions that are never going to be balanced. Also, as a side note, taric is more popular than elise this split, as he has seen at LEAST 2 games.

Someone suggested before that if you land a cocoon, her spider form CD resets. Can they atleast do this? It'll be amazing and make her less clunky... Or why not ANY skill? I mean it's not increasing her damage or anything since her spider form cds will still be there since it doesnt reset

A Miss Fortune1 votes

The thing about Elise is that cocoon is very easy to miss and very easy to dodge. I think they actually need to make it so if she doesn't miss cocoon she's not the most useless jungler to ever exist this season.

Mouse5341 votes

Just my opinion, but I would like them to take damage away from W human form and add a slow to it. This change would make her kit feel better to me, and would allow them to add damage to her spider form (more autos hit, makes item 3151 proc more damage) and make her late game stand out more as then you can do more then just stun. I feel that this would tie her kit together really well, q=damage setup/execute, w=slow/autos, e=stun/mobility. It would make her abilities really tie together and only just makes sense to me. The only thing that confuses me about her kit in general is her new heal passive on r, it seems like it should be all about her spiderlings but does nothing involving them... overall I love the character and she is my favorite jungler, but I have been holding off with learning/playing jungle until she is viable. Most of my experience is with aram/mid/top ap and tank so take this as you will.

FatesDefiler1 votes

forcing elise to max 'e' cripples the character fundamentally, she won't be playable until the changes causing this are reverted.

Rinky Dinky1 votes

At least it isnt like Quinn players who have had to suffer through her inconsistency since release.

But then again, actually contributes when her bugs and rng don't screw her, unlike elise, who is just bad in every category (Stats, Powerspikes, Scaling, etc)

Edit: Just noticed you said that the AP changes don't effect her. Sorry but, are you ill? They majorly buffed two of her core items (item 3151 item 3116, and also enabled her powerspikes to come sooner, and be more devastating. Plus runeglaive is getting an ap buff as well.

CatSith1 votes

item 3151 30 Ap increase - A good boost in her core item but still it isn't that significant.

item 3116 Slowing effects changes - not that big in changes besides the summons slow ( 20%).

Runeglaive 10 more ap with 25% more on next basic attack (not ap scaling damage). Not that big of a deal.

Elise doesn't need more power. She needs sustain, which was what her healing change was suppose to supply but they nerfed the ratio to 10% from 15%

Runglaive isn't a good jungling item for Elise. She benefits more from magus ( old one) and cinderhulk.

She wont just magically be viable from patch 5.13, because of her scaling 30 or 20 ap isn't a big deal.

No i am not ill, you are just ignorant.

Rinky Dinky1 votes

Ignorant?

Nice vocabulary. Only if you knew what that word ment.

idiocy aside, I never said it would bring her back into viability, but claiming this changes won't help her, simply put, is ignorant, and shows a lack of basic human thought process. Considering its literally a straight buff.

From 3 differen't items.

Also keeping in mind that other AP champions would be recieving less AP from their big purchases item 3285 item 3157 and you would be recieving more from yours.

Kinda matters if you actually think about how the game works lmao

Overall her kit is fine excluding recent buffs, her cocoon was fine before it doesn't need to be very fast or if anything should have a bit more reward than just a stun because once you cocoon a champ it's like "come get your meal" rather than "It stopped moving." Her spiderlings could use a bit more health tho, not too tanky to abuse but not where they are at right now. What's the use of generating pets when they die to one action and her human form can use a bit more love. The spider form should get more power but in return her human form should have a little more utility tied to her spider form to make her a bit more fluid because it seems like all the attention goes into her spider form which is not bad but over shadows what can be done with her human form.

Chessburger1 votes

I'd say we should get used to it. Riot doesn't seem to give a shit about anything and do pretty much 99.9% of everything they decide to do regardless of any kind of discussion. It's getting tiresome.

Mr Sir Lebowski1 votes

A big problem with her is that all of the jungle items you buy for her.... suck for her. Devourer works so much better on other junglers that have more uptime on their auto's and more uptime on their attack speed buffs along with being naturally more tanky and having a form of CC in the form they will actually be using devourer with. So an on hit build with Devourer and wit's end is actually really crappy on her. That basically leaves runeglaive or cinderhulk. Between those two Cinderhulk currently wins because she needs the tankiness and runeglaive is underpowered. The problem is Cinderhulk requires you to be close range and she doesn't have the CC to keep someone in close range not to mention her dueling power is very low if someone fights her.

She is meant to be an assassin type character but her dmg is too weak for it which turns her into a dueling character and her tankiness is too weak for that. You want a good measure of assassin type kill potential take a look at eve. She is actualy pretty strong with a devourer and iceborn gauntlet. You get those two items going on her and you will wreck face and you can continue building tanky on her because she has good base damage and the tankiness is boosted through her ult. Elise does not synergize with items in general very well. She's supposed to have high base damages with her % damage but it's too low, her scaling is too low, and her CC is too low to be useful.

She needs at least some type of slow in spider form if she's going to keep this auto attack speed which lasts a measly 3 seconds despite the amount it gives because you will get CC'd for most of it probably and then it's down. Her W needs changed, Her E needs to be able to land other places and perhaps some form of CC or defensive buff added, and her spiderlings need changed somehow too. I would just get rid of her % damage it should make it easier to balance proabably.
