Yet another manaless champion with low CD

Kowe The Ewok··1 votes·539 views

Yet certain jungler have 2+ abilities with ~20s CD and high mana consumption. (caugh Heca caugh)

Not to mention that new champions yet again feature much more mobility - and after the first PBE impression also more damage and lower CD CC.

You apparently haven't realised that the jungle got reworked a while ago in case you haven't noticed yet.

So please don't behave like a brat if you have no clue what you're talking about.

You're an idiot who clearly didn't take the time to watch the video. Don't be that guy.

Rek'Sai doesn't have low CD. Her only low-CD ability is her unburrow Q, which is an autoattack modifier.

She doesn't have more CC either. She has ONE knockup, and it's her burrow W - which, I might add, only works on champions once every 10 seconds, and requires her to get right next to the targets in question without a reliable gapcloser.

Rek'Sai sacrifices SO MUCH for all her mapwide mobility. I'm a Hecarim player too, but the two aren't remotely comparable.

Considering that he has 6 non ultimate abilities to use his CD are incredibly low.

Q Unburrowed: 4 seconds all ranks Q burrowed: 11/10/9/8/7 seconds (but since you only use it while burrowed, it has no CC, and it does very little damage, you aren't realistically going to be spamming it.)

W: 4 seconds all ranks; knockup and damage on unburrow for all enemies in radius, but can only affect an enemy once every 10 seconds (think Yasuo's E).

E unburrowed: 12(!) seconds all ranks (this is WAY too fucking long) E burrowed: 20/19.5/19/18.5/18 seconds

So for one thing, she only has 5 non-ultimate abilities (one of them is an off/on switch), one of which has no in-combat benefit, one of which is basically a weak version of Ravenous Hydra.

The other thing is that if you're building fury for E damage (which you HAVE to do if you want E to do any damage), you CANNOT BURROW EVER. This means you have TWO non-ultimate abilities, one of which has a 12-second cooldown, the other of which is an autoattack.

Don't whine until you try her. She really, REALLY doesn't feel like a low-cooldown champion. She's got buttons to press; that doesn't mean she has spammable effects.

Now check the cooldowns of champions like Hecarim or unrelated: Heimerdinger.

You're comparing apples and oranges.

Heimerdinger is a strategic champion. He functions best on a broad scale, sieging or freezing a lane. His cooldowns are long because his turrets last forever, his W clears whole waves, and one E can change the course of a teamfight.

Hecarim in a lot of ways is a tactical champion (ie. he thinks in terms of individual fights and how to approach them), but his W and E (with 20 second or longer cooldowns) are very much strategic - they're on par with Heimer's E in terms of how much they can impact a single teamfight. One well-placed W will make you more-or-less unkillable, and you only really need your E to engage or to chase. If you could use them more frequently, they'd either be incredibly overpowered, or they'd need to be nerfed to the point where they can't perform their function.

(Though again, I'm a Hecarim player too, and I agree that he needs a cooldown refresh mechanic on his kit somewhere - something like "landing Q extends W's duration" and/or "killing minions/monsters reduces E's cooldown by 1sec" - just to keep him modern.)

Don't judge until you play Rek'Sai. It looks like her cooldowns are low-ish on paper, but in practice all the stuff you care about is long-term.
