Riot thank you for making cho'gath not a troll pick anymore

your design in E is beyond godlike, you gave a tank

ok ok ok let's make few things clear Cho'gath can be a tank, a juggernaut, a mage, anything but the way he works now since all your changes is a tank, his best playstyle is vanguard with glory here is why: his tankiness no longer falls off in late game his utility is semi-reliable now instead of non-reliable at all due to E slow his damage as a tank is still threatening if ignored his R damage has been destroyed in favor of a %hp ratio, which is why now going AP is not as viable as going full tank

so now we get back to the main point, cho'gath is the only tank with a silence, picking him into zed is so good because you know where he can land with R and knockup+silence this gives him a real niche

however the problem with current 7.14 cho is that his E cd is 2.4 sec with 40% cdr, while dealing in late game something like 20% max hp damage and cho'gath niche should not be "anti-tank tank", yeah he has true damage on ult, but that's because it allows him to be respected by carries, not to destroy tanks with %hp damage+800/1000 true damage depending on R stacks in late game

you essentially turned him into a better Darius since cho AA range scales with stacks and he has an unreliable engage (better than no engage at all) and utility

suggestion: lower the %hp damage to 1% from 4% increase base damage he should still keep %hp damage because all tanks have it, but it should not reach a high amount especially with 40% cdr

i like your E slow, honestly it changed everything so thanks for that

"Vanguard with glory"

This tilts me.

The idea that Cho'Gath works well as a vanguard and has an infinite health mechanic...as a Sion main this annoys me.

Cho was already kinda scary to tanks if he got a lot of stacks because 1k true damage. Now he is even more scary and champions need to respect him. It is kinda like juggernauts where you have the option to run away but if you let these immobile people get to you than there's a lot of trouble to be had.

exactly, but juggernauts do not have an insane amount of utility and engage

Darius cannot engage well even with glory because if he runs into a tank he's going to get cc'ed and destroyed Cho on the other hand is way tankier and doesn't mind getting cc'ed and focused For real 40% cdr cho Q and W is really strong in teamfight

that's why he should not have that much %hp damage

and i didn't even try stoneplate ult interaction, honestly i hope it will go away because i smell the imbalance

I mean, as a Cho main, I am slightly biased in the department of these are some much needed changes to him. Cho'Gath has been out of the meta for about 2-3 seasons now, just because so many changes to the game have been heavily disadvantageous to him.

Just look at some of the new and reworked champs like Camille, Warick, Galio, Kayn. Each have a dash, or re positioning ability, that allows them to get out of his previously only way to engage and win trades, his Q.

And his Q was his best. 90 mana at all ranks, 9 second CD, 100% AP scaling, and higher base damage then W, it was his only way to deal high amount of damage. If he missed that he lost. And it's still true. If he misses his Q, he just lost out on so much damage. And it's painful to say but true.

The new better damage on his E allows him to continue to fight after his Q misses though. It is no longer miss Q and hopelessly fight.

My opinion is that Cho'Gath needed this, and it is fine in the current meta. He's no longer a useless champ who was gonna be replaced by some cool new void champ in who knows how long.

Just make feast reset on a kill and he will be perfect xD kappa.

Cho sucks as a vanguard as long as he doesn't have reliable engage. He's basically a giant "don't come close to me or get eaten" sign right now. He's more like a warden that trades a lot of hard CC for a fuckton of damage (hit Q and whatever tries to attack your squishie is dead).

I've always thought Chos current kit could never be allowed to be made reliable. I love Cho and I stopped playing him in higher elo because he's too easy to outplay. When I read these changes, I was terrified because they're removing a good portion of his unreliability, which is nice but I fear for what this could ultimately lead to.

simple nothing wrong with cho being a bit more reliable but he shouldn't deal as much damage as darius, and stoneplate+ult is a broken interaction tbh
