I dont think that ppl know how to play against him. He can be weak early. He has mana problems throughout the game. CC obviously wrecks him and he doesnt 100-0 anyone untill after he is fed with lichbane and other items.
For instance, I know know that pantheon is a good champ to have if you face ekko. The stun can remove him from a teamfight.
Apollocliptic2 votesFiora works well but don't be greedy, if you over extend at level one you will get wrecked, but after level 3 you have the edge (both I and someone else posted this same point)
I already theorised Panth as a good counter, but not theories, actual examples, Ekko struggles against Ekko lol (obviously only in TB or normals). I've only had 4 games, 2 wins, 2 losses. One loss I was Ekko support/adc with shaco, so that was no suprise, the other I was mid vs Fiora and kept getting ganked by Dianna pre 6. Shut him down early would be a good example in that case, people say why ekko when you can dianna, dianna is much harder to kill and has a more reliable instigation dash, she was blowing me up in 2/3 hits, I didn't even have time to hit ulti button if she came out of a bush or something.
Ekko doesn't scale well with mana regen or MR items like some champs can (like Galio and Anirva for example), so he typically builds pure damage. He only really has one significant HP option (crysal sceptor) and two potential armour items (Iceborn and hourglass) making him actually weak against burst mages. Malz destroys him, Victor destroys him, LB should, but he might outplay her.
If you don't kill with your ulti (or at least stun) you are dead the shield from W leaves before the stun, so don't stand there thinking you will tank damage, finish them or run away.
Have leona or some other CC tank follow his shadow while you engage him, and he will be screwed no matter what he does (his ulti is his biggest damage despite most talk, without it, he is sustain damage not burst, so you can out duel him, just do so in less than 4 seconds or prepare for an ulti on the spot!

I disagree a little bit. The burst with lichbane and his e + ludens is pretty damn stout. However, you might need to wait for some poke to be placed on a carry before you go in for that.
Apollocliptic2 votesIf he has both those items by level 6 you've probably fed him already, however, with them he does have "Decent" burst, but not enough to instant kill, in a team fight, you can kill him if he can't ulti you or get free hits. He dies REALLY fast, especially if he got stunned and I think rooted. Personally (especially if top) I like Iceborn on him, he still has nice burst, and much better wave clear, the CDR is nice too.
I won't say he doesn't have damage without his ulti, but he's not LB, you can survive his other combos, and if he has no retreat point, he's still in trouble

Woook3r1 votesand 4) people who can watch a trail behind him He literally relies on his mobility to win plays, if you can stun him, kite him, or just shut him down by multiple ganks he will fail. His ult relies on setting up, If you can bait him into using it to save his skin, or bait him into missing you with a well timed flash you'll be fine. I played Fiora against an ekko and let me tell you.... easy as cake... Just dodge, poke, and blow his ult... then you ult him and gg wp ekko.
Yes..there are a lot of ppl chasing ekko into his team and I think you are not supposed to do that hahaha. I have seen some success in blowing his ultimate when he tries to bait you into a stupid engage and then backing off, regrouping and playing smart and steady. Once the ult is down he has one mobility spell and his team is a lot weaker and prone to loosing.

Mat7itan1 votesI have played him twice so far and he gets absolutely destroyed by anyone who can kite (Ashe is a bitch). Yeah he has a dash that can help him get close, but if you dodge his q, kite around his w, and his ult will never be in range to hit you because he is chasing you then you will destroy him.
