@Meddler @Riot Nasus' winrate in diamond has slowly declined since 5.16

Not asking for buffs, but that's actually pretty concerning. He was pretty much the epitome of 50% winrate champion, which tells you he was sitting at a spot of perfect balance, or the closest thing you could get to it regarding his kit.

My concern is the juggernaut rework and how these are all nerfs to Nasus indirectly since riot just buffed the ever loving shit out of champions who counter him, and they also made those champions much harder to duel now for him with kit changes and new items - not that I'm complaining; I've wanted these changes for fighters for a long time. I'm just concerned Nasus may lose his one place in this game, a farming based champ who scsles into a god tier duelist and as a result, a good split pusher. If he can't farm vs these mega bruisers and they can scale almost as well as him in duels, what's the point of ever playing him?

I'm merely expressing concerns. I would love to see his passive buffed back to 14% at level 1 if it turns out this isn't just a fluke and it's more of a trend, but i realize people hate lane sustain, too.

He wasn't nerfed, just his power as a champion may be decreasing significantly due to indirect changes.

You may hate laning vs Nasus, fair enough. But there are some people who enjoy playing him and this is the same team that buffed Ryze into the most retarded state of balance I've ever seen because Ryze players "didn't feel good" about playing him.

item 3110 nerf was a hard nerf to Susan.

item 3143 another item that was commonly built on Nasus, got nerfed.

Darius rework got more people playing him and we all now how torturous this matchup is for Nasus.

Overall armor nerfs make it easier for other champs to snowball and end the game quickly.

Cinderhulk has fallen a little out of favor, games aren't lasting as long and often games end long before Nasus has enough stacks to make an impact.

TahmKench has an ult that can completely turn Nasus's splitpush against him in a matter of seconds.

I'm sure there are others, feel free to comment with your opinions.

The armor nerfs were minor honestly, I can't stress enough how much of a god send deadmans plate was. The issue with Nasus im seeing currently is bruisers are strong again and they've access to items that give them both durability and damage, which Nasus has a hard time against. Like I said, it's too soon to know but if it turns out his lane phase has gone back to nightmare status, I'd like to see his passive buffed back up.

Way I see it, Nasus IS the definition of a bruiser, just doesn't build for his damage and pays for it by being forced to stack and having extremely low impact early game. I would think Nasus would be strong in a bruiser meta.

You can build damage on him, he just needs durability to survive being kited/cc'd

Full damage Nasus is hilarious

I thought you said "tanks would be fine during 5.16". Clearly they're not because Juggernauts and Sated junglers are in a horrible balance state. The Armor nerfs are complete garbage when you are going to get kited and melted as Nasus at some point anyway.

Nasus isn't a tank, he's a fighter. Tanks with innate durability aren't going to be impacted much, meaning champions like Maokai, Braum, Sion, Shen, etc are going to be just fine.

I don't know if Nasus is weak, this could honestly be due to the fact Garen and Fiora are incredibly stupid at the moment and need nerfs. The armor nerfs didn't hurt Nasus much, he lost 10 armor on frozen heart and it cost more gold but glacial shroud is cheaper, even if it is just 50 gold - purchasing it is a big power spike for him. Deadmans plate has made his teamfight much better, too. I'm just concerned with fighters being good again, chamoions who tradionally best Nasus pretty hard in lane, it might not be out of the realm of insanity to buff his passive back to 14% at level 1.
