8.6 patchnotes actually hurt me.

You're buffing a bunch of champs that are absolutely bullshit and need nerfs / reworks before you even think of buffing them... but ADCs are being broken, and you don't want to nerf your cash cows, so you buff other already broken champs to be near their level so people feel better about it.

Wish I could say I was surprised.

They are nerfing duskblade and compensating the champions that use it as their core item

Except Quinn. They are actually nerfing her early game for some add'l stats late game which won't really matter because you'll never get to late game. The meta for the game now is snowball early.

Why are so many people forgetting that riot is neffing duskblade?

Mcsquzzy1 votes

they even took the time to mark those champs as duskblade champs in the patch notes just so they wouldn't need this "Added some damage to compensate for duskblade nerfs" in the header for each one

Why are so many people forgetting that riot is neffing duskblade?

because nerfing duskblade made them buff the champions that used it making them just as strong without it leaving no real difference in power?

Onotori3 votes

Why do so many people act like Zed was totally nonviable and never played before Duskblade? Same with Kha? Talon? Nocturne? They all were more than fine before that bullshit item amped them even more.

And Kayn doesn't even need lethality to two shot you.

So yeah, they're nerfing Duskblade, but the champs they're buffing "in compensation" don't need any buffs to begin with.

this... they never had to to begin with.. i can't undertand why even when they STILL have the item just s SLIGHTLY weaker one... they need "compensation.. they never got NERFED when item was intoduced.

ADC do need to be nerfed first, that would be the proper way to do this..

but maybe if they actaulytl nerfed assains first people would realize that ADC have stupid burst to begin with...

then we can finally address shielding when they rest of the damage has gone down.

These champs are only viable with duskblade, why they build it. Kayn does need lethality to burst you on blue kayn which is the assassin one. Playing any ad assassin without lethality is like me full ap zed/talon. Doesn't work out. Before duskblade there were other items in the game to make them viable so idk why you're acting like champs such as zed were building things like flamecloack and full tank while bursting. Assassins were sht when duskblade was first released and the item had to be changed to make it okay. Plus most of the buffs only make the champ stronger pre-duskblade. After duskblade it's a loss in damage.

Yeah, do me a favor and play blue Kayn. Skip Duskblade. You still do well over a thousand damage with your W, and the following Q will kill most squishies.

Then do the same with Zed, Kha, Talon, Nocturne, etc. Tell me how "weak" they are. In fact, record a video of it and show me how "weak" they are.

The champs that build Duskblade do not need buffs, in any way. What we need to do is nerf ADCs to parity, but that's not the lucrative option here, so it won't happen.

I'm a Talon main buddy can't get over me with that one. Yeah if I don't build duskblade I might as well chop my hands off because I'm gonna be doing nothing either way. I can say the same for the other champs too. Why you might ask, cuz you're taking a core item out of their build and acting like they'll be just as useful.

Onotori1 votes

Talon existed long, long, long before Duskblade. He did fine too.

So when was he suddenly nerfed so hard he can't compete? Oh, never? Huh.

I mean Talon has existed without Duskblade for far longer than he has with it and he was a perfectly viable assassin before it. What's preventing you from building an IE on Talon? His Q already automatically crits if you do it from melee.

Sounds to me like whining. Can't build duskblade on Talon anymore????? Guess all these other AD items just get thrown out the window too!

The crit on q isnt increased by ie since its not really an auto attack. It can be blocked by jax in melee form, but not proc things like crit. If it were an auto it could activate the bleed on talons passive. Clearly you didnt understand what i said before about different items beforw duskblade. Like old talon building ie because ghostblade had crit and last whisper had percentage armor pen. When a item update came they changed items assassins used so riot made duskblade to compensate. Meaning yes if you removed the item these champs are trash

The Q crit can indeed be buffed by IE, still doesn't mean Talon wants to spend a fortune on it.

Nocturne is a farm jungler that relies on 2 things. 1. You being an idiot and wandering away from your team. 2. His ultimate needs to be off cooldown in order to seize this opportunity. Other wise, he's a pretty mediocre farm jungler with zero mobility and iffy ganks. (Also his scaling is naft.)

Titanium1251 votes

Oh also when an item give about 250 on hit dmg for basically free, it would seem like that champion doesn't need a buff. You wouldn't be able to play a champion like Kha'zix without duskblade last patch. It's called an item meta.

Kythers1 votes

Khazix

still permaban for 6 months in a row lole rito gems

Onotori1 votes

Oh no trust me, Kha is fair! Yeah! Riot wouldn't lie about that.

... yeah.

VØIÐ1 votes

Quite understable considering one of his primary abilities is just a basic AA that deals bonus damage as a on-hit effect.

So look at this scenario:

Passive bonus damage: 150 [+20% AD] (at level 18) Q: 300 [+250% AD] Duskblade before the nerf: 300 (at level 18)

On a 4 second cooldown without any CDR. With 40% CDR it would be on a 1.6 cooldown.

But at the end of the day it's not for me to say what's balanced.

Basically they made assassin still broken, rageblade for bruisers and we re still calling adc meta? Ok

As every game goes to late an adc does absurd crit.

Shukr4n1 votes

Well if adc does no damage late game wjy bothering pick one? Assassin does 60%+ hp damage on adc since midgame.. Mage can kill.. What qould adc do for being blanced late game? Taking 30hit to 100-0 a 2500hp assassin with barely 60armor?

VØIÐ1 votes

Honestly i'm glad that Crit items have been nerfed slightly, it's just too strong (coming from a guy who is an ADC main).

Lauchmelder1 votes

I'm ok with everything but Rengar.

Fuck Rengar, he's broken. ("Muh undo the rework Rito". Let's fkn go, Azir is next, let's bring back all the bullshit while we're at it)
