Why Do People Think Dying Is The Only Way To Troll In A Game?

Seriously just had a game where our jungler made the mistake of telling our team in champ select that he was in his series. This is something ive learned never to do because you are going to get trolled and as soon as he said it i just knew the game was screwed.

So after locking in i go to the restroom and come back and see we have a singed adc. Who spent the 1st 6 min of the game running to mid to steal minions and running to top to do the same.

he spent the next 22 min just doing the same.

our support actually defended him saying he wasnt trolling because he hasnt died.

22 min in game he was 0-0-0 with no towers taken......basically wasnt in the game.

Enemy ignored him because when he did push minions to the tower he would just base with full hp. even based full everything when enemy was about to take a tower.

How was he not trolling?

Venting on the forums is going to accomplish nothing.

i just asked a question about a experience i just had. if you call that venting thats your opinion on it. but i see we clearly have different opinions because i know when i respond to posts i just respond with something that adds to it or i just dont respond at all.

But as for what you said yes it could. it could bring light to people that think dying in a game is the only way to troll when it clearly is not.

It's not a gameplay question, so it's not even in the right forum, but even if it was it's not a question where you're looking for an answer. You don't care about the "Why" and if you claim otherwise you're a liar. The "Why" isn't important. You had a game with assholes in it. You came to the forums to vent about those assholes. It has accomplished nothing. They're still assholes. Trolls are still going to troll. It doesn't matter how you define it. Even if you offered empirical proof that it was trolling, which is is, that's totally irrelevant. They didn't do it because it "Wasn't Trolling" no matter what words they used. They did it to annoy people. It succeeded. Move on with your life. Posting a PSA that Trolling is Trolling isn't going to make any less people troll, ever. It's useless. Always has been. Always will be. The only way to get less people to troll is to give them less attention, because the only reason they troll is to get your attention. By posting this, complaining about it, and opening up this discussion on trolling, you have literally given these trolls the only thing they want. You have helped them. You're now a troll associate. Congrats.
