I'm actually terrified of Nunu top if these changes go through

Nunu top is absolutely oppressive in a 1v1. Worse than Panth or Teemo. Right now it isn't played much because AP Nunu has trash waveclear and is very ult reliant in team fights. He's also very gankable. But that doesn't change the fact that when you're alone with him in lane he dominates everyone. All he has to do is spam E then auto attack for his next free empowered E. You can't trade with him because he just consumes your damage away then presses E and walks away.

But now he's going to get a metric shit ton of extra AP for free making him even more oppressive. Please Riot we don't need ANOTHER champ like this top. We don't want another champ that is brutally oppressive where the only counterplay is "wait for a 2v1". "Just survive while you get absolutely shit on with no counterplay" is a fucking awful design.

40% is too much for the early game even if it's capped. Nunu coming back to lane with a NLR in addition to his dorans ring will give him over 100 AP with just rank 1 W. Please consider drastically lowering the W cap at earlier ranks so he can't just max E while still getting tons of bonus AP

Lol even the most underpowered champion in the game draws "NERF HIM, HIS BUFF WILL MAKE HIM TOO STRONG" complaints. jesus christ i lose more respect for this player base every single day. you always cry and moan about the smallest possible things, whether it be skins, splash arts, or buffs to the weakest champion that HAVEN'T EVEN FUCKING HAPPENED YET.

Ummmm yes. Normally that's how it works. If people see changes that are going to be problematic on the PBE then they discuss them

Nobody is cheering for nerfs on Nunu. But when you see buffs as big as the ones on PBE, it's important that the community lets the devs know it might be probamatic. Do you remember the last time Nunu was buffed because his winrate was low?

Seriously, i HIGHLY doubt he will be played top after this buff, why the fuck would you go nunu top over literally any other tank champion in the game, only cc is his e and r, he snowballs you in lane and hes fucking done unless he decides to auto you to death lmao

It's not "for free". He has to build AP to get any sort of benefit out of it.

I played Riven against him, maxed E, and had an easy lane. Just sustain or block his damage and waste his mana.

1 only riven can really do that 2 Most rivens wont do that because you sabotage your mid game if you do

I watched Boxbox, Exil, and other high elo Riven players and the general point is that you don't just max Q mindlessly every game. You max what helps you win the lane phase because getting fed is good.

We need more of this. I hate when people always max the same way or always just build the same 3 items? Like when someone rushes item 3065 item 3111 vs an all AD team and loses lane super hard... lol

The guy that responded to me does nothing but disagrees with me no matter what I say. Also yeah, people don't grasp maxing different spells. They literally always max the same thing no matter what, and on some champs that works and others it does not.

Riven can max Q or E, W isn't good enough but E is a very solid and sometimes better max than Q.

Keep in mind that very soon his E will draw minion aggro, which will make his trades a bit less one-sided.

No it won't. Nunu just Es you from his creeps and will take absolutely no minion damage. Case in point: Gangplank

Most people aren't aware of the horror of solo lane Nunu. Once tanks leave top lane, utility AP's will make a return.

At least the point-and click changes to minion aggro would mitigate this a bit if they go through. He won't be able to just poke you for free in the early game anymore because minions hurt, and his lack of significant waveclear will make it so that it should be easy to build up a minion wave to protect you and then crash it into his tower to cost him CS and give you time to recall and get an item lead on him.

I'm not saying that nunu isn't BS. He is. I fucking hate that champion, but I'm glad that Riot is looking at making changes to the game that could make it safer and more fair for people to play against him and others like him such as pantheon or teemo.

Champion that would be able to destroy nunu top lane..

Camille combo based champion she dosent need high AS to proc her damage outside of her ult part

Chogath Full tank true damage better wave clear and better free sustain

DrMundo ^ minus the true damage

Darius if nunu goes for E darius can easily E-W-Q-AA nunu and if nunu is AP he is ether dead or 10-20% of his HP so an R and it would solve the remain hp of nunu

Fiora She can easily negative all the ulti of nunu with her W and sustain his damage with her Q

Galio ...

Gangplank both spammers but gp can do more damage and scale better

Jayce range champion with free knock up to stop nunu damage and he is a combo champion

Lissandra way stronger that nunu and her Q is bigger range that nunu E so nunu would never be able to damage you and if he flash E-R you can just R him and combo him to death..

Maokai sustain tank...good luck against that as ap NUNU

Nasus early game only but after a while you can just ignore nunu with the right build...

Ornn tank with enourmous CC and shield..good luck..

Riven E max and spam your abilities at no cost after a while ( when you have some CDR..)you can always turret dive nunu

Rumble Combo ulitlity mage..stronger than nunu

Swain ^+ sustain

This is the 80% of the top laners and the ones i didnt put are trynd and yasuo jax and so on AA type champions..and even this champions can scale much better and just build a Hex drinker play it right and farm and just destroy nunu after they buy 1-2 items..

So yeah nunu no matter what they put and how much damage they put he would always be one damage skill champion so yeah you take that but then nunu have nothing else...so if you mitigate that or you have some ressistance and then you unleash your combo if your combo is not AA only nunu is dead...

That why his solo lane is bad for seasons now because riot gut the Q and W and his base HP and Regen
