Just came across my first scripter

After 4 years of playing, i just came across my first scripter.

Ive never in my life called someone out on it, because calling hacks is the dumbest thing you can do, but this was unmistakable.

A cassiopiea in top lane, I thought she was just really good due to her hitting all her skillshots, (literally all of them) until she ran out of mana early game. At the same time, she only got hit by a few axes from the bush i was in, and dodged the rest, so i thought high elo smurf.

Then she wandered mid lane, where our zed and morgana were, morgana's q came flying at cassi, and zed dropped a shadow where two shurikens flew towards her, her script messed up, and she did a complete circle standing still, and got hit by one of zeds shurikens. Her character model turned a full 360 degrees before shaking back and forth, then finally she moved. It looks like she was minion blocked, but there was no minions around.

I called her out in public chat, and immediately, the support from bot lane (who has been quiet all game) started calling me a massive amount of names, and defending cassiopeia tooth and nail. I muted him, and asked the enemy diana to see what she thoughts, immediately the other team (other than the support) agreed with me.

Cassiopiea and Xerath are the number one scripted champs in league of legends.

this players lolking, has him playing Cassiopeia for 28 games in a row, and jinx for 2 games. (his win rate with cassiopiea is 22-6)

Perhaps he's really good at dodging, hitting skillshots, and cassiopiea in general. Maybe her team, and I are wrong, and we are just "Heavy sweating neckbeards that call hacks cuz we bad and mad" (-Zilean 2015)

or, hes scripting. I really hope i log on and see the "A player you reported, has been punished by the tribunal"

would make it feel like reporting isnt just a waste.

EDIT**

a bit more research revealed that the zilean support was playing with the cassiopiea for about 5 games now. Each game she went 20+ kills, with less than 3 deaths.

I've never called anyone on scripting. I've run in to a couple Vayne players that I've suspected of scripting. Just that they'd use tumble to dodge skillshots that they had no business dodging. Like I'd be an Ahri hiding in a bush that she clearly didn't know I was in because she was running to it, and I'd shoot charm at her right when she got within warding distance and she tumbled out of the way - we're talking reaction times less than 50ms when pre-server transfer most players had ping of higher than 60ms. What got me most of the time is that these players, if they weren't scripting, would be so strong mechanically but so poor at decision making or just knowing the game in general. Like they'd try to win fights they couldn't win, or they wouldn't take objectives they could have forced for free. That's what spells it out to me - in order to get that good mechanically you either must be scripting or must have played a LOT, and if you've played that much you should be making better decisions too.

Then the last time I had a Vayne I thought was scripting (I didn't think about it much since I was top, but my jungler started complaining to our team about it and I decided to start watching and was starting to agree), she was actually just playing really well. The last 3 teamfights in a row we managed to land everything on her to lead to a win, so it seemed that she was just a good player.

So it makes you wonder, are they just having a good game mechanically? Getting lucky dodges? Or are they scripting? Something like a 360 degree turn should give it away. I still wouldn't call someone on it though, just quietly report it if you suspect it (although I've actually never reported it).

Thats the other thing, Ive had great games (specifically against ahri, as katarina) where my dodge time, and reactions made me look like i was scripting. It helps that i used to main ahri, so i know how most of them think, and i predict most of her charms and just shunpo with them. but i got called out for scripting, and was just having a really good dodge game. this cassiopeia transcended that, it wasnt even "really good dodging" it was full blown glitchy dodges, where she's spin circles, and be using her skillshots, while shes running away and still dodging. for being a bronze 3 cassiopiea, its just not possible.

Well whenever the enemy picks Ahri, I just pick Fizz since all Ahris essentially do is Q W and E at the same time so I can just E past the Q and E and easily win the trade (if not kill her)

I think you're insufficiently suspicious :D Severely doubt this was your first scripter. By far the most common is really Lee's that put their ward hop on a macro. It's technically cheating but small enough that most people don't care. But it gets pretty obvious when Lee zips to his ward before the sound effect of the ward being placed occurs, every single time he ward hops.

My personal favorite was a Yasuo with a windwall which was to set to trigger automatically at the first projectile that came at him. It was exceedingly obvious, because it triggered on anything and was actually more fun to play against than a Yasuo who controlled his own wall. One auto, he popped his wall every single time.

so you think i should be more suspicious? xD if its not this noticable, idc if you script xD this was game breaking. i've never seen anything like it.

I reported directly to the support the last scripter I "ran" against, and he got banned. He was actually having a 85%+ (something like 60-8) win ratio in diamond elo with the same champ, and really bad stats on every other, plus he was taunting everyone including his lane opponent. I had him several times in my games, he was also drophacking.

im not familiar with drophacking?

Some people can actually use a cheat program that will actually "cancel" the current match. Every player in the game will start to lag, then will get disconnected without being able to reconnect. And then the game is just "dropped", like if it never existed, and will not even appear in your match history, so no +/- LP. So if a cheater do that every losing game, he will never lose LPs, but get spotted very fast by Riot :)

Sometime, Riot servers are just laggy, and the symptoms can be the same, but it's not to be confused with drophacking in that case (double-check your internet connexion and the "Servers status" page before sending a request).

Riot is working/worked hard against this particular issue and I didn't see any drophacked game for a while now, so... I don't think it's only luck.

Ive seen that one time, thought it was just riot servers. we all dc'ed, but me and my friends voice chat was fine lol

I've only ever had one person that I thought was Scripting in the entire time I've played league. I was a top lane Irelia going up against a Ryze . And the way he pumped out his spells, the rotation, and the effectiveness was something I'd never seen before in my Elo. Now obviously I didn't just jump and say scripting; I just figured this guy was obviously smurfing or just stupidly good at the champion. But as the game progressed, he just started to do some.. Questionable things. He was obviously good at the champion. He caught people out so many times, and just deleted them in about 2 seconds tops. Then we started grouping. And I can't tell you how many times we caught him out. And the strange part was we didn't even have to chase him when we caught him alone typically. He would just nose dive straight into five of us(His team is on the other side of the map, by the way), delete one of us, and get destroyed. And he never stopped. Weird find him in the weirdest places at the weirdest times, and he was almost NEVER with his team. We'd just find him by baron pit alone, or dragon pit when it wasn't close to spawning, or in just random places in the jungle all by his lonesome. He played the champion flawlessly, but he was doing such unbelievably questionable things game-play wise, for him to be as good with the champ as he was. And I wasn't the first one to say he was scriping. I never called him on it, in fact. Nobody on my team did. It was his own team that straight up said "Our Ryze is scripting". I believe two of his team mates said that he was scripting(both during and after the match), and the other two were pretty silent. So yeah, there's my only experience with someone I believe to have been scripting. He never said anything all game, so I suppose I can't know for sure if he was. But there's that experience. Never heard of or saw the dude again. Don't even remember his IGN.

sounds like a bot to me, ive seen a few of them a few seasons back, they just kinda run at you use all thier abilities, and thats it, i used to see it alot with Olaf. Because basically if you right click and smash all the buttons with olaf, youll win alot of trades lol.

Never ran into a scripter, but I HAVE dealt with drophacking before. It was a pretty obvious case of it, too.

Scripting is hard to call because I like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. I'll assume someone is good before I assume they're cheating. Unless I see an obvious sign of it, I don't even begin to suspect it.

Easiest way to know if they're a scripter is if there are two skillshots coming at them. A scripter will adopt this jittery motion, and it is very obvious a computer is feeding input, not a human.

Exactly what happened with 3 skillshots. two zed shurikens and morgs q. no way to dodge it the character model just spun in circles then back and forth rapidly xD

Most scripters rely on it and are painfully bad at the game. Another red flag is if they position/shotcall/buy items like a Bronze/Silver yet have Challenger mechanics.

Anyways, that certainly sounds fishy but I'd have to see footage.

I've seen a couple in games, but once you know how the scripting works it's pretty easy to fuck them over.

I've only suspected this twice and it was Vayne both times. I was playing Alistar and she condemned me IMMEDIATELY after I hit w, and before I could land q. I had played enough vayne to know that there was something seriously wrong, because it keps happening again and again. Like vaynes skill cap is high, but no human should be able to pull that off consistently.

Another time a vayne kept comdemning me out of Galio ult. I didn't even think it was possible but I guess his ult isn't quite instant.

Better Jungler1 votes

wow that's crazy. I'm scared to see a vayne scripter lol

The person probably was scripting, but you can get similar results with a mechanic in the game as well, with none of the risk of getting banned https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGm4l_zqzcw
