New Sona gameplay ; The Return of Breast

Sona couples extremely well with the new Keystone mastery , with meditation, with bandit, with The Dark Seal, with Corruption Potion, with the new Frost Sona's Claim.... it is amazing how much of a difference these things make.

She went from being utter garbage , to actually being viable. Thank you Roit, it's about ****ing time.

NOTE: Not strong, but viable. The top tier supports are still dominant and supreme, but Sona's at least able to compete rather than be free food for anyone that is remotely decent.

Tried two games with her, But I was un able to get accurate results because the enemy steam rolled off our teams stupidity. (less to do with system changes)

It does remind me why I stopped using her in YoloQ. (nothing to do with Balance) I need a way to take over lane if the ADC fcks up. (I think I'll start looking at Morgana, especially against the caitlynn matchup. Just start sweeping up her traps with the black shield.)

And taking over with a mage support should be even easier with the ever efficient Eye of the watchers. Tribute passive no longer disable, and has wards that a support needs.

I'm getting really sick of constantly seeing propaganda and disinformation on the Boards. Here I thought the mods were finally doing their job on cracking down on blatant mockery when this forum became flooded with it the other day, but I guess that was only a 1-time deal.

What propaganda and disinformation? I hope you mean the "Sona mid is great!" (Which is bullshit) because everything I said is demonstrably true... Sona is better after the patch, the question is, how much better is she? it's true that Thresh/Alistar/Braum/Leona/Soraka are still superior to her, but I find she is now able to at least do decent in a consistent manner against the top tiers.

Time will tell if Sona is viable at all brackets now.

Time has already told. Are you not aware that she was gutted over 15 months ago? She hasn't been playable a single time in more than a year and just about EVERY type of meta, no change that isn't made directly to her will every make her playable. Why the fuck would I ever use these masteries on Sona when I can use them on Nami instead for literally twice if not thrice the effectiveness? That's just obvious common sense and hard mathematical fact.

You are correct, all supports got buffed. My argument is that Sona got buffed more than the alternatives which is demonstrably true (Ex: Meditation can be maxed with no sacrifice now slightly aleviating her mana problems, she gets a great keystone mastery that she can apply to everyone/one person twice and runic boosts her defenses as well).

It is NOT propaganda or false information to say Sona came out well in this patch.

He's probably referring to the fact that you intentionally created this thread as flame-baiting to mock and harass Sona players. Which are all against the forum rules, not that the mods actually enforce those rules.

That is the most retarded thing I've heard in about a month... furthermore it is a baseless assertion. I did not create this thread for anything remotely resembling that.

If he, or you, would look at my stats, you would see I main jungle and support. You would also see I play Sona quite a bit and have played her recently with some pretty good results (Better than before), so your lies/propaganda/dinsinformation are (ironically) against the rules, not my objectively true claims that Sona is doing better than before.

Not surprising. A troll will never admit to trolling, that would just be counter-intuitive to their goal. Matter-of-fact, just like you're doing, they attempt to deflect their own offenses at someone else to try to throw people of their trail.

I was playing against Lux in Mid but either way, I was melting through their whole team. Her burst with the new masteries is ridiculous, E, Q , W then AA .

If you can get your ADC to take Runic armor.. It's awesome. She still has really nice poke and her W got double buffed since it heals and bubbles. No problems with mana either. Over all this patch was a nice Sona buff... but shhh before riot finds out!!! :)

Just did a game with Sona. She's more than Viable Mid. I'm serious, wiped out Tryn in a matter of 2-3 Seconds. He wasnt fast enough to ult thats how fast it is.

The changes definitely helped her; I might just play her in ranked next season if all her indirect buffs stay the same as they are right now.

I'm also curious about trying a W max and getting Sheen as support, just for shits and gigs.

Sheen changes make her have access to it earlier, and she now gets cdr from Lich Bane. Base mana regen getting buffed lets you only have to build one mana regen item to have plenty of mana sustain item 3165 (right now as support Sona all I build is Eye of the Watchers and can sustain just fine).

Deathfire torch is pretty good on her during laning phase, as well.

No she is not. Mid Sona is putrid scoriae. You can only win that match up against utter garbage enemies... which is why it CAN work at plat level.

Sona has zero waveclear and has the second (?) worst defensive stats in the game in addition to NOT having a stun. Try that against diamonds and see how quickly you fall.

All you need to do is play safe and becareful not to overextend, if you can stay safe until mid game you can easily play. Her wave clear is difficult I'll give you that. I'd also rather you not say I know nothing about balance even though I have an understanding of how the game is played even though my MH may not show it as I fuck around and don't sweat >.< . In the two games I played her, I did well against Lux and the second game was an abomination due to the fact it was a heimer. Either way, I think she's Viable.

And how many of those are post patch? did you even check or did you let your confirmation bias do all of the work for you?

The entire argument is that Sona is doing better now post patch than pre patch. It's not complicated.
