Surrender should be disabled in rank.

Imagine watching the LCS and you see a team surrender? Imagine watching the NFL/NBA/NHL/FIFA//MLB championship and one of the teams forfeit.

One the greatest feelings in the world isn't stomping your opponent, it's coming back from being stomped.

Just click my profile and take a look at my match history. In at least 5 of my last 20 games, my team got raped, started the game 0/7/0, lost 2 towers, down in farm. The enemy team couldn't close the game out, we slowly but surely got a few kills, towers and farm. Then won.

In 1 game you'll see we had a better team fighting composition. So with 3 inhibitors down and the enemies inhibitor turrets and T2 mid turret still up, we bunkered down in base, used our ults together, and stretched the match 25 more minutes to win it. That's 25 minutes of sitting under our nexus turret fight super minions, baron buffed minions and champions with elder dragon buff.

3 people were on board to surrender every chance they got from the 15 minute mark. Literally like 5 - 7 surrender votes with 3 people clicking yes all game.

Fortunately, a stubborn teammate and myself wanted to see the match through, victory or defeat. When you die after the 55+ minute mark, the death timer (75 seconds, maybe more) is long enough to push out the super minions and rush down mid lane. It was a race between how fast my team could push mid vs how fast the super minions in the outer lanes could siege.

It's the paycheck in professional sports. If it's not professional, then going through the stomp sometimes just isn't worth it. I'm all for the "don't give up, we can do this" mentality because it's one I share - that said, people shouldn't have to commit to long, drawn-out clear losses just because you want to satisfy your ego.

People ff way to quickly. But most of the time they really have no clue and shouldn't be in ranked in the first place.

As soon as Riot treats ranked more seriously, then maybe I can get on board with that, but when anyone with a few champs and level 30 (which takes no time to get anymore) can just hop into ranked to "try it out"...or people playing new champs in ranked...autofill.....you know all the BS...then no.

Learn to FF. When you FF you get time to reflect on what you did right and wrong. Also you waste less time being stupid. If you're not going to FF and you don't even attempt to do something that will remotely affect your chances of winning you shouldn't be playing anymore. You're just going to repeat the same stupid crap that you've done all game and will ever do in every game. Learn to FF so you can reflect on yourself as a player and improve. If you don't care about this then play normals not ranked. Playing ranked is about trying to improve as a player not dicking around.

The reason that surrendering is there in the first place is because it serves a means as to not waste time. Also, the worse your team is doing, the more tilted and flame-y they get, which only serves to make them play worse and flame more. downward spirals are why soloQ games typically go one way or the other.

I give my all in everything I do. I know comebacks are always positive. The 2 people carrying the opposing team are in the same room as a duo and all their electronics plugged in could trip the breaker, now they have to wait 10 minutes for their modem to reset. Just like that, effortless comeback victory.

Something you'd never find out if you surrendered.

Agreed! Me for example will learn to fight rather than afking or trolling like I always do when I see no chances to win. It's far better than the game is clearly lost yet people did not surrender. That's so annoying. I'm against that u want to see the defeat with outperforming enemies, but I didn't. Seeing others gained much much Blue Essence was a grief. As the winners always insult the losers. So, deleting tthe surrender option is the best, but it takes time for noobies like me to figure out how to fight on.
