Can we talk about Locket of the Iron Solari ?

Hello :) Locket is a "support " item that all we know about , but it is not the strongest when used by an actual "support champion " , instead using it on a cinderhulk jungler or a tank top laner will be far more stronger (not the case with redemption , as it needs you to go support role /build in order to use it for its most .) . And as far everyone knows , support items sucks in Health regard , so they have to build some non support items that give some health , to make your "support item" work better , and knight vow gives so low health (because it get abused by other lanes ... ) so I think there need to be some other mechanic for locket to work , so sups using it will make it stronger than laners . maybe %base health + %bonus health , and make the base health scaling much stronger , or give it armor + magic resist scaling instead ?

Would be cool to see what other people are thinking :)

well it is still used on TANK SUPPORTS . and the shield scales with bonus hp... this is why you see it on cinderhulk junglers cuz of them being tanks, being in the middle of fights / engaging /peeling etc and using that shield in the middle of the fight benefits more allies then the raka/janna standing behind the adc ( as far away from the fight as possible ) getting free shields. so its a risk /reward kind of mechanic

and I am talking about tanks supports , they will never use it as good as junglers or top laners because tank support items have little /no health . Edit :for some reason the reply feature seems not working (it is working the same as quote ).

item 3401 450 hp item 3109 250 hp item 2045 500 hp item 3190 item 3800 400 hp or item 3193 when you use the active and get the bonus hp then use the locket shield makes it really strong and boots

on a braum, alistar, maokai, taric ,leona etc

well item 3800 isnt a support item. its a tank item

item 3193 isnt a support item its a tank item

but ok ill go further

item 3001 350 hp item 3194 350 hp item 3742 425 hp item 3143 400 hp item 3065 450 hp item 3068 425 hp item 3083 800 hp item 3075 250 hp

so the only item that clearly has a heavy hp difference over all other items is warmogs

everything else is on par with the support items

and also a tank support or any support can build these items its not limited to a certain champ role/class

but once again to my original statement having locket on leona who is tanker then janna benefits her more then it does janna janna isnt hard engaging in team fights and in the middle of fights/or front line leona is.

its still a risk /reward item. its best on tanks regardless of the role , top, jungle, support because of them being the front line/peel /engage of the team comp and typically are around alot more allies at one time then a squishy healer/enchanter support

also why item 3107 works better on enchanters then tanks supports cuz the ability to heal and cast from range and well they have typically windspeaker blessing to make the item stronger then a tank support who dont typically run that.

Well , only ruby and FOTM have high hp , the other sups item have very little, and you are comparing different champs like Janna vs leona . lets say you have karma mid , and karma sup . The repdeption of the karma sup will be much stronger than mid (unless the karma mid builds full sup items with windskeeper. the other example is leona top vs leona sup , leona top locket will always give more hp , as she can build titanic hydra , frozen mallet and many HP items without doing off role stuff .

The hp you get from all tank sup items is only 1200 (if you go ruby and FOTM ) and a normal tank build will give you more than 1600 hp (without warmogs ) BTW , I am not saying locket is weak , it is so strong , but the problem with locket is it will always be stronger on non-sup tanks (unless the sup goes non sup items , which is sub-optimal for the team ) while redeption will be stronger on sup , without forcing them to build any item that is not non-sup . the hp scaling on locket is like saying "lets give redemption an ap scaling !" so this is my point
