Sightstone replacement feels bad

Hello, I am not talking about why I dislike the change in general, but rather a problem that makes it even worse. With the new change you won't get your wards until you finish the quest, a lot of the time I get to base and buy the full item (last upgrade) before I even finish the quest, which in turn means that when I get to lane a few minutes later I will get 1 ward only, even though I have spent more gold than the other sup for that upgrade, which forces me to go to base in order to get my full wards.

IMO it should be 1 ward if you didn't buy full sup item and full wards if you bought the final sup item to make it more fair to play and rewarding investments in vision without forcing me to go base when it is not good to do that.

What do you think about that as sup players/mains?

Why am I being forced to get wards only after a certain time?

If my teammates and I do well in lane and I'm able to buy a Sightstone within a couple minutes, that's my prerogative. Why can I only get reliable wards once I complete a quest, a quest which everyone will complete at different times depending on the situation in lane?

I'm just getting really tired of feeling like playstyles are being forced upon me. The illusion of choice is being really prevalent.

Why would you remove flexibility from the least popular role? I love(d) playing all my AP supports with FQC and now I simply just can't.

"Oh, you have more gold now."

I had that from the enormous extra kill pressure that the FQC active offered me. I love playing Bard, so it was super helpful for landing picks with his ultimate. This stupid built-in crap was available before, but I never bought it because I hated it.

This is a horrible change to a role that is perpetually in need of love. If sightstone was the problem, allow supports to upgrade their trinkets an extra time or make the support items enhance the trinkets. If it ended up being problematic, you could tie them support items to having Exhaust (like the jungle items and smite).

Or--perish the thought--just remove Sightstone and buff everyone's trinkets. Finally remove from support the onus to be the group's primary provider of vision.

Tbh, it takes a really short time to compile the shortened 500 gold quests. Plus you don't have to waste another 800 gold like Sightstone does.

Maybe you're forced to recall to regain back 4 charges, sure. But you'll get to buy something extra like Boots instead of wasting a Sightstone build.
