Anyone else is tierd of this game being about "who abuses better what Riot screws up"?

Every game same overpowered champions, depending how ban phase goes.

Every game decided (beside pure luck) who has more overpowered shit on their side.

Theres no room anymore for anything that is off meta, you play what Riot wants you to play or you are fucked.

Honestly, if you think its the case, it's not Riot. It's you. EVERY champ is viable in the right hands. Now, if by off meta, you mean something like Zed support, then yes, you are probably doomed to fail. But if you actually bother to practice with a small group of champions instead of constantly and only playing FoTMs, then you can gain the skill to beat 95% of any matchups you face, and carry that into winning the game.

Jari10 votes

Only if you play off meta people will threaten to afk or Disco Nunu.

Narasimha7 votes

Define off meta.

I've NEVER had anyone have a problem with me doing Zed jungle or J4 support before. No afks, no rages (except when I do badly, and thats deserved.), no disco Nunus. That's not even mentioning more common picks like Zyra mid or Aatrox jungle.

Jari1 votes

I'm referring to ranked. And by off meta I mean taking a champ to do something they aren't normally used for. Zed jungle funny enough wasn't following under that because #RedMercy made it legit and work well. Actually around the time I saw that video of his release for Zed jungle a bunch of them ended up in my games.

And as for the J4 Support, it's because he brought enough for your team to not get upset, as well as once being a legit thing. Although currently in this moment that argument fits them both, but I am still trying to mean ranked play.

Narasimha3 votes

I would say that ESPECIALLY in ranked, its not really Rito's fault. There will always be a group of champions that are the 'best'. That's just how it is. And in the competitive environment of ranked, people will always try and pick what gives them the highest chances of winning. Most people don't have the patience or time to master a champion. They just want the cheap and easy way. They get frustrated if they feel people are trying to hinder that. That's just human nature.

Sona is shit. Not unviable, just shit. Too much of a pain in the ass. Nami does EXACTLY the same stuff, but better. And she's fun and challenging.

Zilean is shit. Unviable, and shit. He's good only for his slow(which is worse than Nasu's Wither) and his revive ultimate.

Aatrox Very powerfull. VERY POWERFULL. To the hands of the 10 people that know how to play him. For the rest 99.999%, he's shit, and he eccels at nothing appart from being a pain in the ass.

Taric Is shit. UTTER SHIT. Unless built full armor, and for that he needs gold, and for him to have gold he must leave the role of support. But he's getting a rework. So there's that.

Yorick Is complete shit. He's the "Lord Useless In Teamfights". He's THE worst thing to lane against, if the player knows their stuff. After winning lane, he becomes a placeholder for the other 9 players.

TahmKench is shit. The only reason he's played is because of his very high base stats.

Nocturne is shit. He doesn't really fit into anything. He's not weak, he's just in a very cloudy spot.

Galio Same as Nocturne.

Wtf is your list? Garbage is what it is. Sona and Nami are two different champions. Sona can poke harder than Nami can, and she gives a shield with her heal. Sona can also reduce MS via CC and degrade your damage via cc. Not only that, her ultimate is an absolute game changer if you land a good one. Nami is good, just not "game changing" good.

Aatrox isn't hard to play...js.

Taric has a good heal that he can use on him and 1 other person, he grants his allies FREE ARMOR. His stun zones out ADC's / APC's and renders them useless / unable to get away.

Yorick is a good duelist. Yeah he's not great at teamfights, but go 1v1 against him. I dare you. He'll either kite you to shit and THEN chase you or he'll just chase you to begin with.

Tahm is extremely powerful right now, people just have 0 clue how to use him. He does HP % DAMAGE from ONE ability. His ultimate is a cut-off ability, meaning if a teammate is ganking, you jump into him and he'll teleport you behind them, so the only place they have to go is either under your turret, through you and your jungler, or nowhere. He's also really tanky mid-late game.

Nocturne is amazing at getting picks. Period. His level 6 ganks are unavoidable. Putting wards won't do anything to stop him, especially since they recently buffed his ult range. During teamfights, all Noc has to do is ult to the enemy adc / apc and pick them off.

Galio is a very situation champ. The only place you won't see him in Normals because it's impossible to tell who you're going again. Even if you don't pick him against an AP Heavy team, his ult is a game changer if you can get 3 - 5 people inside it. If that happens, you immediately win the teamfight seeing as how they're a sitting duck for a few seconds. Use this on tanks and pick off the carries, then come back and sweep up. Learn your champions. Don't call them shit just because they're not in the meta.

tbh, I look at Nami ult like a sivir ult now with CC on it, since it speeds people up.

Sona is more so instant AoE stun.

Some people like nami poke because it has a heal on it, even though it eats up a lot of mana to use that over and over for poke.

But yeah, they are different enough that they don't crowd each other out.

CaptainCandyazz1 votes

I'm in no way saying Nami's ult is bad, in certain situations, it's actually EXTREMELY annoying.

That's probably the only thing I don't like about Nami, her poke eats up a TON of her mana early game, meaning you need to either buy more mana pots than hp pots or just not poke at all, which is bad for a champion that normally takes item 3098

This is a textbook cookie cutter response with the same copypasted arguments .

There's a world outside the Kingdom of Bronzodia you know. Everything you had to say was either blatantly dumb/wrong, or you just stated the obvious thing everyone including me knows and thinks.

Thanks for letting me know Aatrox isn't hard. I never said he is. You have cognitive issues, and you mist the point. How's Sona's Ultimate gamechaning and Nami's isn't? How can she outrade Nami, when she has to get into harm's way to do it. Nami doesn't. And both their poke is undodgable, so why pick Sona? Yorick's trash, thanks for letting me know he's great at winning lanes(as if I already hadn't said that) and then sucks horse stuff at teamfights. Did you know, there's no point in dueling Mr Useless In Teamfights after laning phase, esspecialy since he sucks at teamfighting anyway? Thanks for letting me know Taric can give free armor. Thanks for letting me know his heal costs more, and is worse, than Sona's Nami's, even Bard's. Thanks for letting me know his stun can zone, when Thresh, Nami, Leona, Bard, Blitzcrank, Braum, can do the same thing and fucking better to boot. What makes you think that when a Nocturne is planning to ult the carry, the team won't group to protect it? Ofcourse, that requires skill and game knowledge outside the residents of Bronzodia. But no, let's leave the assasin do as they please, when we can 5vs1 and then win a free teamfight. Oh no, he did some great ganks early/mid game, good luck with that! Tahm's been stated trash by players better at the game than me, much, much better. And their opinion matters, unlike yours and mine. Oh, and thanks for letting me know a champion that's supposed to be tanky, can get tanky mid/late game. Who would've thought. Galio's dead, whether you like it or not. And I don't see him in normals nor ranked.

Learn the game. Don't dismiss other people's opinions because you're narrow minded, shit at the game, and can't think for yourself. Who the hell spoke about meta, who cares about the meta. The only one bringing the meta up was you. I call them shit because I think they are shit, what are you going to do about it? Us, denizens of Bronzodia, need to stick together, to create whining posts here in the boards, begging for nerfs whenever we get stomped. It's how we do things, and the game goes forward ;)

"There's a world outside the Kingdom of Bronzodia you know. Everything you had to say was either blatantly dumb/wrong, or you just stated the obvious thing everyone including me knows and thinks."

Yet the community is giving you negative votes while I receive positive ones.

"Thanks for letting me know Aatrox isn't hard. I never said he is. You have cognitive issues, and you mist the point." "To the hands of the 10 people that know how to play him. For the rest 99.999%, he's shit, and he eccels at nothing appart from being a pain in the ass." That gives off the idea that you think he's hard to everyone but "10 people". Remember the shit that you type.

"How's Sona's Ultimate gamechaning and Nami's isn't? How can she outrade Nami, when she has to get into harm's way to do it. Nami doesn't. And both their poke is undodgable, so why pick Sona?"

Sona's ult is an INSTANT STUN THAT MAKES YOU DANCE. Nami's ult is slow, has a crappy knockup, and can be EASILY dodged. You seriously need to pay more attention. There's a REASON people build items like item 3100 and item 3025 on Sona, Q + Auto damage output is INSANE late game. Nami's damage late game barely scratches anybody but the adc. Her range is also barely less than Namis, I'm pretty sure the damage output is worth the 1 poke, especially if the ADC joins in with Sona.

"Yorick's trash, thanks for letting me know he's great at winning lanes(as if I already hadn't said that) and then sucks horse stuff at teamfights. Did you know, there's no point in dueling Mr Useless In Teamfights after laning phase, esspecialy since he sucks at teamfighting anyway?"

You don't seem to understand how a proper "backdoor" works. Yorick top lane. 4v5 bot lane. Enemy team sends 1 top against Yorick. Yorick destroys him. Yorick takes 1-2 towers, Yorick leaves, Yorick was successful - OR - Enemy team sends 2 or 3 top, Yorick gets destroyed, but 4v3 / 4v2 bot lane wins and they take the turrets that Yorick could've gotten if they didn't send so many top to kill him, PLUS you get more kills out of it. "Backdoor" doesn't mean "Yi go take a tower while they pressure our nexus!" That's shitty play and worthless if they're taking your base. The ones best at backdooring are Duelists or people who can take towers quickly and leave.

"Thanks for letting me know Taric can give free armor. Thanks for letting me know his heal costs more, and is worse, than Sona's Nami's, even Bard's. Thanks for letting me know his stun can zone, when Thresh, Nami, Leona, Bard, Blitzcrank, Braum, can do the same thing and fucking better to boot."

Are you serious? Taric's heal is stronger than Sona's, about the same as Namis late game. Sona's is weaker because she has to heal 1 extra person, but she also gets a temporary shield, so it only LOOKS stronger. Bards heal is also a shrine that has to charge before it can reach full heal potential, which can rarely be accomplished while in the midst of combat. Also, guess what? Thresh, Nami, Leona, Bard, and Blitzcrank, are all INITIATION SUPPORTS. They're the ones who START the fights. Taric ISN'T. Nami barely even counts, she only counts if she wants to use her ult, otherwise she's just like Taric. Taric and Nami are meant for getting PICKS. Zoning out ADCS and APC's.

"What makes you think that when a Nocturne is planning to ult the carry, the team won't group to protect it? Ofcourse, that requires skill and game knowledge outside the residents of Bronzodia. But no, let's leave the assasin do as they please, when we can 5vs1 and then win a free teamfight. Oh no, he did some great ganks early/mid game, good luck with that!"

I don't even need to reply to this. You're delusional. especially if you say "Requires skill and game knowledge outside of the residents of Bronzodia". If you're THAT balls deep in Bronzodia, then don't even argue with me, because I'm already correct.

"Tahm's been stated trash by players better at the game than me, much, much better. And their opinion matters, unlike yours and mine."

LMFAO. You're gonna make me cry, kid. Who told you this? Someone with 2 LP points more than you? Do your research. Stop letting dumbasses tell you whose bad and whose not.

"Galio's dead, whether you like it or not. And I don't see him in normals nor ranked. "

Damn, what did I just say? "The only place you won't see him is Normals because it's impossible to tell who you're going against." You REALLY don't pay very much attention. I'm surprised you're silver.

"Learn the game. Don't dismiss other people's opinions because you're narrow minded, shit at the game, and can't think for yourself."

I'm narrow minded, shit at the game, and can't think for myself? You're the one sitting here talking about how these champions are absolute garbage, yet I'm shit and narrow minded? Okay, Kiddo.

"Who the hell spoke about meta, who cares about the meta. The only one bringing the meta up was you. I call them shit because I think they are shit, what are you going to do about it? "

You FOLLOW the meta. Your entire POST is FOLLOWING the knowledge of Bronzie Meta, and it's entirely garbage. You should be learning the game before talking about it at all.

Tahm is really good, its just people dont know WHERE and HOW to use him. First off, if you want a better overall experience, stop going Support as him. He only has one support ability that neither shields nor heals his ally AND prevents them from attacking. This would be ok if he was also good at poking, but in Bottom Lane he is NOT! The enemy is always behind minions so landing constant tongues is just never going to happen. Early game his E doesnt mitigate enough poke to survive him down Bottom. Basically, just get out of Bottom Lane. Go Top or Jungle. I personally go Top Lane because he counters Riven, Darius, and, if played right, Garen. His W is an amazing tank buster and his constant Q poke makes him a solid Top Lane. His E also makes him when any 1v1 trade plus his ultimate passive lets him build Tank and makes him a superb duelist. If you do well enough, you can easily 1v2 a gank. Jungle actually makes Tahm end up having more damage due to Cinderhulk boosting health. However, his ganks rely on his ultimate if the enemy isn't pushed up far. Overall, the better way to go once mastered is Top Lane in my opinion.

Yes you can climb high playing off-meta champions. But in order to do that you need to be much better player and outplay hard players who pick fotoms.

Udyr needs to work much harder to be more useful than Lee Sin who is just designed to destroy everyone.

MF/Lucian life against Vayne is just horror.

And playing anything off-meta against Darius/Garen/Fiora is like hitting a wall with your head.

I understand people who play fotms cause why you should punish yourself when you can just pick easy way but come on.

Riot is just doing worst work ever in terms of "play what you like not what we want you to play", unless they do it for purpose then you know.. fuck them..

It's always going to be this way unfortunately.

What's really irritating is that when they hit a champion too hard, that champion may languish for years. I think Fiddle is more recent example of this. They change the AP jungle item into something he can't use, and he now has no place in the game at all. Yet I doubt they'll do anything for him anytime soon.

Riot only pays attention to a core set of popular champions, while fringe champions gather dust or worse, get put on the remake list and typically become something unrecognizable.

Well the only real buff was the mana cost being lowered slightly I believe, but even then here mana costs were overwhelmingly high, so lowering it a tiny bit is something she needed. She's still pretty weak w/ or w/out, the meta just shifted so she became more prominent.

Axis the Dragon2 votes

The main buffs she got (other than Mana) were: the second snare upped to full damage + duration (not a huge buff since you're most likely gonna snare only 1 person anyway) and letting you detonate E the moment it lands

Which is somewhat of a sizeable QoL buff overall, but not something that'll make her suddenly OP - honestly, it's pretty much just the meta shifting away from assassins and to zone control mages (Azir, Lux, Viktor) that are making people QQ

No those weren't the changes. -5.12 she got Buffs to her W (gets shield instantly) and E (can activate E as soon as it reaches it's destination). -5.17 she got buffs to her Q so the CC and damage would be equal for both targets instead of half for the second target.

disagree, off meta picks are more viable in LCS and in fact a lot of those champions that arent stupid broken become meta because pro found a way to make them viable. For example, you arent going to see teemo become a meta pick top just because he counters some of the juggernauts simply because after the laning phase he will still be beat against the rest of the enemy team.

What I'm sick of is champions like Lee Sin, Riven, and Vayne getting special treatment. I break my back trying to get an early lead as Ezreal, then Vayne can 1v1 me anyway because.... well she just has more numbers (I cannot stay in a lane alone with her unless there is a substantial difference, I can E, flash, Heal all I like but her retarded movespeed bonus catches me anyway), or being so careful with where I go and my positioning as Syndra because if I get caught I die, meanwhile Lee Sin: "oh hurr durr I got caught out like a moron, R,W,Q,Q 'outplayed noobs'"

I very much agree with this. As i ranked up (plat III 82 lp at my peak) i was witnessing that higher ranks are more and more about abusing op stuff, and not necessarily about the dramatic skill increases i imagined. Different champion strengths outweigh player skill hard imo. Enemy team has a jinx or vayne as adc and we got lucian? odds are highly against me, because that lucian is like 40 : 60 to do something in the early game and eventually snowball, and afterwards like 40 : 60 to transfer his advantage. Jinx/Vayne? Lol theyre about to 1v3 at some random event, and life and especially lol is full of random events. Ofc they become powerhouses unless stopped by bad attitude/trollishness/a ridiculous hard stomp. PLat is full of diamond smurfs and by this time of the season probably also elo boosters, and they all abuse the stuff that is rejected from being balanced.

We never said that Diana Irelia Mordekaiser Riven Vayne etc arent too strong.. Watch us leave them untouched for several more years and eventually take 5 ms or 3 ad off XDxdXDxdXDxdXD

Yes. I have posted about this twice on boards. They game was not always this bad. In the past one or two op champs wouldnt decide the game cause you can deal with one or two often. Now op champs are absurdly op instead of just a bit strong. Darius, anivia, fiora, vayne, tristana etc

You do realise nearly every champion in the game is picked and succeeds in ranks as high as masters? Check Lolking and you will find people playing Yorick, Teemo, Zyra, Galio, etc and winning games in diamond 1 and higher.

This game while having champions more optimal than others, is balanced in a way that almost every champion is viable if played correctly. This is great design from riots part that not every game has. This game DOES have strategic diversity and you ARE NOT forced to pick a handful of champions just to have some success at all.

Ezreal, Miss fortune, Twitch, Quinn, are all champions that are not top meta picks or played in LCS but you can certainly win games in any elo if you play them well.

Ranked is largely determined by your ability to Queue-Dodge correctly... ;O

Every game same overpowered champions, depending how ban phase goes.

Every game decided (beside pure luck) who has more overpowered shit on their side.

Theres no room anymore for anything that is off meta, you play what Riot wants you to play or you are fucked.

I have Queue-Dodged over 150x this season for the record. Otherwise my W/L-Ratio would be absolute shit from all the bad Match-Making.

I find that the game is less decided by 'who has the most overpowered champions?' and more on 'who's botlane sucks the most?'

Bias jungler though

I just hate it when they finally have a champ in a state where they are perfectly balanced and don't need to be touched. You know the state. The one where they shift in and out of power with the meta, but not to the point where they actually need to be nerfed or buffed.

And then, when it's finally perfect.... They go and change him/her because WHY NOT?

I'm looking at you, Veigar. You used to be so fun to play as, but nope. HAD to have a skill shot. HAD to have a delay on his Event Horizon.
