The reasons I hate the new dragon system

So here are some reason I hate the new dragon system

1-LUCK

It is fair to say, some dragons are clearly better than others, it is also fair to say, some comps value certain dragons higher than others. It is also fair to say, some teams will be in the position to stack certain favored dragons like two/three fire dragons in some games, while other games, will be lucky to get a single fire dragon to spawn.

To clarify

1-I believe most people can agree, the fire dragon is possibly the best dragon, because it is always usefull in all situations, and is constant combat stats. However in some games, the fire dragon will not spawn at all. Or perhaps, at a certain point of the game, a team will get fire drake, and it will never spawn again. This is very unlucky, and very unfair.

2-If you are playing a split push comp, you will highly value the earth or fire dragon. For both of these dragons help you siege better, however if neither of these dragons never spawn, than that is indeed, very unlucky, for your comp.

3-Let us say one team is rightfully dominating over the other team. The winning team often gets the dragons, this is completely fair. But let us say the winning team, gets incredibly lucky, and either 3 water dragons or 3 fire dragons, or even 3 earth dragons spawn in a row. If you look in the math at how they stack, once you max them out at 3, the stats are very over bearing, and reach the same value of a item in your inventory. Once you have 3 earth dragons a comp can one shot towers, once you have 3 water dragons, the comp has near limitless sustain, and once you reach 3 fire dragons, the comp has explosive ammounts of damage, as now everyone holds a mini item 3089 into their inventory for both ad and ap.

I fully believe that the winning team should be rewarded a higher chance to get dragons, I hower don't believe the team should be given BY LUCK 24% bonus damage

3.5- Onto junglers and bot laners

For the most part protecting drake is the job of the jungler and the bot laners. If bot lane gets hard shitted on, or if you have a down right terrible jungler, chances are your team is not gonna get any drake, any time soon, this has always been a problem. However with the old way, Fire dragon buff was always the first buff you got. So the moment your team won a team fight after the hard work to claw your way back in, you were guarented that sweet sweet 6 percent buff that helps you out so much into the late game. However with the NEW WAY, theirs a very likely chance you will never even get the fire dragon, which is so highly valued, and just might get the shitty wind dragon for movement speed.

To wrap it up

The old way most certainly had it's flaws, but it was consistent and it made sense.

However I do like the fact that in the new way everybody has a chance to get the Elder dragon, and not just the team who has been shitting on you all game, as you try your best to fend them away from it.

I would like to see the old way brought back, but for the elder dragon rules to stay.

Making objectives important is essential to the game, and this does that.... Nobody cared if the other team had 3 dragons to none, now they need to care on the first dragon. Same with the rift herald, way too important to ignore now....

The dragons that favor certain comps (i.e. Ocean's mana regen favors poke comps) are also really good against them (Ocean's health regen is really good against poke comps).

and the ocean dragon spawning in that scenario, is once again, pure, luck.

I think it's pretty accepted that Ocean's the strongest, with Wind being the weakest currently. Which they're buffing / nerfing accordingly. While the base concept is RNG, if all four dragons are roughly equal in level of importance, then the RNG is a minor effect.

Even if it's pure RNG, and people try to base comps around the dragons, it's still a better system then "Stack 5 dragons, win the game."
