What if Nasus got reworked to be more of a tactical juggernaut?

Darius: Dont let them escape and dunk on them.

Illaoi: Let them come then get put into some new R34 comic.

Nasus(when reworked): Help your ally go in so you may be ignored in order to destroy them.

Here is how he would get reworked:

Passive is no longer sustain but an infinite stacking mechanic. Every cs gives 1 stack with champions and large monsters giving 2 stacks. Assists count for champions. Each stack improves Nasus by giving him some max health per stack along with 1 point of damage in his Q per stack.

Q is the same but last hitting with Q gives double the amount of stacks. His Q now heals him for a % of the damage it deals, reduced vs minions. His Q deals 2x the amount of stacks he has as bonus damage. If he has 5 stacks he will do 10 damage with his Q. Last hitting a champion heals Nasus for 20% of their max health

W is the fun part, he can use it on an ally champion besides himself or on an enemy champion. On an enemy champion the attack speed slow is removed but instead slows everything on the champion as a new debuff by X%. So if before the speed to use Cait R was 2 seconds it will now take a little bit longer to use. Using W on an ally speeds them up instead so Cait uses R faster. Way longer cooldown than live version.

E no longer deals damage to enemies standing in it unless they move in it. The radius is bigger and only damages the enemy if they move inside it. They do get debuffed while in it over the duration with the debuff lasting 2 seconds after getting out of his E. The debuff increases damage they take by a small % every second they are in his E or take damage from his E up to a cap.

R no longer grants bonus health or armor/mr unless he has stacks. Each stack he has grants 1 extra bonus health on ult activation and every 500 bonus health grants Nasus 30 armor and mr on ult activation. If he has 400 stacks giving him 800 bonus health on ult activation plus 2000 bonus health from runes, masteries, and items for a total of 2800 bonus health his ult will grant roughly 150 armor and mr.

You basically want Nasus to take the role of Sion. Just play Sion.

Besides his health, how does this take the role of Sion?

It basically will do better than Sion because of infinite health and infinite damage.
