Balancing of projectiel blocking walls

Namely: Yasuo's Wind Wall and Braum's shield. While these abilities perform well with the pesonality of the champion, their power seems troubling to me.

Many ultimates are projectiles, a lot of them also have a slow travelling time. I find it bothering how an ability with less than 12 seconds cooldown can stop an ultimate move of champion with 3 minutes cooldown.

This does not seem appropriate to me.

In my eyes granting these abilities a % damage reduction instead of completely blocking all damage would be a much better way to go.

If anything I would just decrease the duration of the walls. How can you make skillful use of something like that and have it last for nearly 4 seconds? It's oppressive and pointless.

I wouldn't even mind giving yasuo some stuff back, the wall is way too obnoxious.

Well Braum's only counters the complete dmg of the first projectile than lowers dmg by about 35% for the rest

with yasuo that would make no sense and make it almost a one sided Maoki ult and that would be useless

Oh boo hoo, you mean there's a couple of abilities that finally do to ranged champs what ranged champs have done to melees for forever?

Honestly, the game could use more anti-ranged mechanics, at least if Riot is going to insist on making almost every new ranged champ so blatantly anti-melee.

A simple fix would be that it blocks weak projectiles but isn't strong enough to do anything more than slow down a strong projectile (meaning normal affect on normal abilities and only damage reduction on ultimates).

I agree, as someone who predominantly plays caitlyn, that this seems unfair since my ultimate gives so much indication that it's coming, it's too much time for them to use a simple ability to prevent my ultimate (especially since by the description of my ultimate, I should be locked on and unable to miss [only intercept the hit] so it also bugs me that someone like fizz or elise can Dodge it with a non ultimate ability so easily (they should have to dodge in the small time I lock on, not after I've already locked them down if I really "can't miss").

Braum DOES intercept the shot. The only thing that's removed is the damage, which burns his most valuable cooldown. Also keep in mind that Braum builds tanky. If he just blocked the shot with his body, it wouldn't do much of his health in the long run anyway, especially if he has upwards of 4500 health and a Randuin's Omen in addition to other armor items.

AoE CC from ults now pierce the wall, even if the damage is blocked

Abilities that fire multiple shots can shotgun Braum when several projectiles are blocked (Suddenly MF obliterates him)

The only problem with Yasuo's wall is that the casting time doesn't actually delay the wall's activation. That is the one and only problem with his wall. He's able to cast it as a last-second reaction to anything and still block the shot. That quarter-second delay needs to exist.

Braum's isn't even a problem. He negates one projectile and redirects the rest to himself.
