What Makes Shen Difficult Over the Rest of Top Lane

  1. Difficulty farming early game while simultaneously grasp procing with only 1 damaging ability to minions and hard to hit cc dash.
  2. Map awareness and decision making skills. Shens ult is at a base of 200s at lvl 1 so be wise when using it.
  3. Difficulty being able to kite and always get empowered auto Qs.
  4. Using W for the most opportune teamfights.
  5. The champions success 100% depends on the teams ability to work together.
  6. Passive management and build pathing.
  7. Flash taunt is one of the easier to learn traits but still have a somewhat difficult learning curve.
  8. Energy conservation.

All 8 of these traits make shen extremely more difficult than most other champs. He needs a good early game and good teammates to be at half of his potential. The rest is correct Q positioning flash E hits. If you miss empowered Q you lose more than half your dmg in combos. Keep in mind that Shen Q is his main source of dmg and farming mech.

top lane skill is determined by knowledge and depth of champ counterpicking, knowing how to pick every top counter and play it perfectly, pull out anything to counterpick such as lucian and abusing the most meta champs top and playing meta to a perfect extent. Top lane mastery is far from mastering one champion, and i would think that shen is very easy to learn and use to play perfectly with a team.

Lol I bet the people who said shen is easy also think tf is an easy champ. If anyone who votes no reads this comment, try climbing with shen and notice the difference in your play afterwards.
