Does anybody else think 99 lp shouldnt happen?

Yes, I think that it should happen. It's very unfortunate, but that is why the number 99 isn't the number 100. If we say 99 shouldn't happen and everyone knows it, then everyone will grow to feel 98 shouldn't happen, etc etc.

I'ts because your MMR doesn't resemble your rank/lp and they practically "test" you to see if you really deserve to go to promos.

Just be glad the days of clamping is gone. Being at 99 LP then winning to get +0 was the worst shit ever

This has come up so damn much over so many years and season. My solution has always been to have the points carry over especially since losses during promos count towards negative LP whereas the wins dont give +LP, so if you get promoted the excess points carry over.

Start 99 LP Win (+25) = 100 to promo (24 banked) Promo Loss (-14) = 100 in promo with 10 banked Promo Win Promo Win Now in next tier with 10 LP.

Or if you lost your promo with high gains and low losses: Start 99 LP Win (+28) = 100 to promo (27 banked) Promo Loss (-12) Promo Loss (-12) Fail promo but have enough banked LP from before, you're straight back into your promo series from 100+27-12-12 = over 100 LP for the promo series trigger (now with 3 LP banked)
