So Illaoi has a 60% win rate for experienced players.

oh so champs that people main and have experience on cant have good win rates ?
60% is incredibly unhealthy for game balance. Collectively for all players of similar skill, a winrate should never be outside 48-52%
no a perfect balance would be 49.5%-50.5% but its impossible to achieve there are 132- 133 champs and so many different runes/masteries and items combinations to make it where all champs fall with in that rate. what is that champs over all win rate? according to http://na.op.gg/champion/illaoi/statistics/top she has a win rate of 47.65% and a pick rate of 4.17% if someone mains a champ compared to someone who doesn't then the person who mains that champ will have a higher win rate with whatever champ that may be and be above the curve when it comes to the over all win rate.
Experienced Ahri players have a 54% winrate...we should nerf her then (according to your logic). Same with bard...and nunu...and taliyah....and oh..guess what...kindred has a 60% winrate with experienced players... Guess they all need nerfs too since they aren't inside the 48-52% that you think they should be at.
Er.. How old is this data? Kindred is almost unplayable right now, there is no debate over that. Taliyah just got nerfed. Way too much. Her current winrate is something like 40%, down from 48%
go look it up on champion.gg The op said "Experienced players" meaning players who have played a lot of games on the champ.
Champion.gg is never more than a patch behind, and they are only ever a patch behind within the first 5 (I think?) days of a patch while they accrue statistically relevant data. They also only use Plat+ games across all servers for their data, meaning that they show what's good in high level soloq.
As of last patch Kindred won 51.04% of her games, with players who have played over 125 games reaching up to 60.97%. Quinn top and adc both exceed 57% win rates at the same level of experience. Aurelion Sol jungle gets up to 60.32%. Vel'Koz mid hits 59.04%. Galio top manages a staggering 68.76%,
And that's just the few ones that break 57%, there are a hell of a lot of champions that hit 55% after 125 games. I'm even ignoring all the champions that have their win rates drop from the 50-125 section to the 125+ section as that would add at least 3 more that I saw. If you really think any champion that does not fall into the 48-52% for highly experienced players, then a hell of a lot of champions need to be nerfed. If you're curious as to how many, go the site yourself and check their statistics.
Those are not the stats i am seeing, what region is this?
Also, quinn and aurelion are questionable right now, nothing new. Most of the aurelion winrate is due to his tiny playrate (1%), and how few people understand his kit.

Direct link to Illaoi's overall stat page. Look for the graph titled "Win Rate % by Games Played." Look at the last section , of 5, for her and you will see that after 125 games Illaoi's win rate is 60.68%. Her overall win rate is only 51.2%, but these highly experienced players are doing much better than the overall average. To see any of the other numbers I quoted, go to that specific champion's page, for the role I stated and you should see the same numbers there as well.
OP was complaining about how Illaoi mains have high win rates, all I was trying to prove is that other champions have similarly high win rates, and some actually manage to go beyond her. However any of these numbers should be taken with a grain of salt as these are extremely small sample sizes being that it is only the most experienced players at the highest levels of play.
And the collective winrate for Illaoi is... 51.2%.
Did you actually bother to read OP?
I have 70% on illaoi though only 41 games so far but i try to keep that winrate.

A 60% average win rate is an aberration even then though, most champions have a closer to 55% rate for experienced players and most have under that figure. 60% means something, and in this case it's ill's lane phase being so dominant so early. She's so strong in lane phase that experienced players who can avoid being ganked largely don't suffer from being forced off resources. That win rate for experienced players had a direct correlation to her strength against most meta lane matchups and her oppressive early game in a meta that is dominated by fast games and snowball strategies. Her win rate would suffer if the meta changed and game times increased or if Mage top laners become vogue again.
yea last time i played vs her i played nunu top and won
sooo

Well nunu has some things in his kit that negate what Ill does to gain advantages in lane. Just consuming a minion completely negates any of her poke. So nunu doesn't need to worry about her damage out put as much as many other meta top laners. Hes also got poke himself that does massive damage and can't be dodged by ill. Nunu SHOULD win trades vs ill, since neither has massive early burst and the advantages are built up over time and series of trades as opposed to a single all in. In most match ups ill just needs to land one skill shot and thats it, the enemy laner is now perma zoned off of farm for fear of being all inned and killed. Nunu doesn't have that fear against ill to the same degree.
wow you didnt call me a no talent scrub troll who knows nothing about the game for me saying i play nunu top
i also support nunu still

Oh yeah, forgot that part, my bad.
Not talent troll scrub!
Happy now?
=P
actually i think if you can do well on these so called simple outdated champs shows that you have to be creative in how you use the kits so you can get the most out of them compared to at an over loaded kit that dashes all over the place and call that being out playing someone

Nah, yasuo's kit ain't overloaded dude. If anything he needs massive buffs. o.O
ooh you are soo trying to bait... you diamond troll you
oh and i supported with
last night going 1-7-20
She's a pubstomper and people are too retarded to dodger her tentacles in lane and try to all in her during ult.
She's a pubstomper and people are too retarded to dodger her tentacles in lane and try to all in her during ult.
Tbh pretty much this. She is also a strong lane bully and if she manages to land her E on you consistently then you'd need luck to even cs properly.
But other than that she is pretty much useless outside of lane. She is win lane-lose game type of champ. No cc/no mobility and her dmg can be avoided easily if enemy team has a brain. She needs a good engage/cc comp to work well later on. I played like 4-5 games on her then just gave up lol She is too one dimensional champ in the sense that you either stomp your lane and win hard or you don't and remain kinda useless.
Edit : These illaoi haters downvoting me is funny :D
That's why only the experienced illaoi's have a high winrate on her. She actually needs lots of skill to carry. She is like leblanc, easy to win lane but hard to carry the game.
Yeah I fully agree with you.
Don't mind the downvotes, boards are retarded in that regard. Ty.
I was expecting a QQ thread. Glad I was disappointed.
Win rates always increase (or should) as someone increases in skill with a champion and plays them more. It's not exactly surprising, considering GP had a similar win rate for experienced players a few patches ago.
40% of experienced players know how to play League of Legends.
Sounds accurate.
hurdur how do doge skillshut?
She's actually hard to play I guess?
Because a lot of decently strong champions have a decent winrate after that much experience? You're also forgetting to factor in sample size. How many players are actually that experienced at Illaoi in the first place? lol
Her strengths and weaknesses are still plain as ever, like with most other champions. If someone loses to one of those champions, they either were bad or the other player was better than them.
She is fair and balanced like Fox News.
Edit: In other words some people will say she is healthy while others will say she is not and it will largly depend on what kind of champs you play in top lane against her.
But... Illaoi is fair and balanced... and Fox News isn't...
Depends on who you ask.
People who say Illaoi are OP are the kind of people that'd say Ahri is OP because they can't dodge skillshots.
I would argue that the impact of Illaio's test of spirit when it lands s generally greater then Ahri's charm. 1 to 2 seconds of CC VS 10 to 15 seconds of having another thing to dodge and likely taking 40% of your current health as damage if you back off or more if you engage.
Dodging it most of the time is not the issue. It is the impact of when it does land that is greater to the way you play that makes her a problem.
Illaoi's Test of Spirit will not kill you in almost any situation. Getting hit by Ahri's Charm + full combo + potential Ignite or teamfollow up is almost certain death in every situation. Dodging Tentacles isn't hard, and the only actual CC is just a slow that lasts a short duration.
As long as her name is not Soraka she wont get nerfed too hard.
That's not even very far out of the ordinary.
Skill/outplay based champ has high win rate on those skilled with her.
If it were a mage, then we'd have a problem.
Aurelion Sol too and has been nerfed a lot.
Even Kindred, but she is balanced.
Kindred also has a 60% winrate with experienced players.
Championsa are usually in the 55 - 66% range for win rate among experienced players.
In Season 3 I had 55% winrate with Syndra, in Season 4 it's 62%, in Season 5 it's 57% and in Season 6 so far it's 63%.
I wouldn't say, it's necessarily surprising for Illaoi to have that high winrate, considering how toxic her kit actually is.
How is her kit toxic?
She's the epitome of feast and famine, where she either can't do shit or two-hits somebody with tentacles.
Illaoi is an interesting champion because she's literally designed to shove non-stop and then 1v2 when she gets ganked. Actually pulling this off consistently is an absurdly powerful strategy because it shuts down 2 people at once while also giving yourself free farm. Plus, she transistions into the best anti-diver in the game, making her an amazing compliment to ranged carries with very high DPS like Kog'maw, Jinx, Azir, Vayne, etc. Hell, she's a lane bully that scales well, and that will always be a very rewarding kind of champion to master.
Urgot's top's 50-125 games played winrate is ~59%. His mid 125+ winrate is 57%. RITO NERF NAO!!!!!
there was a time when i had a 80% winrate with illaoi after 80 or so games in ranked, ai had about 100 games on her at the time
