Mid is and always has been and likely forever will be the most contested role in the game.
Bare minimum 60% of all players want mid in my experience.
So, here's my question.
When a player actually gets to mid what possible reason could they have to waste that rare opportunity by picking an ADC for a position that is occupied primarily by ADC counters?
Tuition Fee1 votesIn lower elos, I've seen my friends play AP Kaisa mid. She deletes people surprisingly quickly if you know what you're doing, and has good outplay potential, wave clear and laning phase.
Heck, I've watched many times when she just goes full on backline assassin, deleting the enemy ADC by getting in close with her R.
Counterpickwise, Lucian is good into Kassadin.
Then we have Corki, but he is more of an midlaner nowadays duo to his passive. He scales nicely and his push is good. So he is counted as midlaner.
Rest of them are just flavor picks. I personally always enjoyed Jhin and Cait mid, mainly bcs of their outplay potential vs assassins with their traps and ms boost(Jhin)/dash(Cait). Used to play tons of ap Kog, but it's no longer that good.
