Honestly the east coast server route makes this game mostly unplayable for so many people here

If you're unfortunate enough to live in the states of: Eastern Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Northern Georgia, Eastern Kentucky and Virginia, then odds are...

you get absolutely fucked by the server route you are powerless to change.

I don't even know what the fuck it is at this point, but so many people I know who live in this area get packet loss, WITHOUT PACKET LOSS.

After talking with 4 different people in a single support ticket, my response ultimately was "Sorry, we dont know what the problem is, go fuck yourself."

So packet loss in this game is shown when you can see people move around. Only movement. People who die or leave vision remain on the map where they were last seen, and the same goes for minions.

Minions will endlessly attack eachother just like they would in a full disconnect.

But you know you are still receiving some packets, because you can actually still 'fight'.

If youre a jungler, you can use your abilities. if you have a dash, the game will still use that dash and move you. But no animation is played.

Walking into fog of war to see jungle camps they will not appear. But, if you have attack click on and use an ability to draw aggro, you can still kill them. You know the camp is gone when your attack click stops making you move back to attack.

So youre just pressing buttons and attack click shows when camps die.

This shows that you are still PARTIALLY CONNECTED. The game still registers there is a hostile entity, but doesn't display their health bars, models, animations or anything.

It's reasonable to think that you're missing packets.

Except this is literally only a problem in the east-southeastern US. Everyone I know just has this happen at random times throughout games.

And riot just doesn't give a fuck. They seem to have this warped idea that I can tell an ISP to route everyones connection to a server differently.

Which I cant.

It makes the game unplayable.

I am using Comcast from Washington state, I still experience packet loss and lag. It's never really been the same ever since the server relocation. I don't understand why we don't have an east coast server and a west coast server, Riot makes plenty of money to do it.

I think separating the US into two separate servers would be bad. I think just taking the smallest amount of effort to make your server routes acceptable is fine.

I'm used to playing brood war and diablo II online, they had multiple servers for NA.

Those are multiplayer games that need a quick turnaround time on game timers.~~~~

I'd be willing to wait for a que that has reliable connection rather than to get to a bunch of packet loss, jitters, etc faster.

This is different, you are making two american servers. So Western americans cant play with Eastern americans. Or if you merge players, theres no point in having separate servers, just fix the connections.

My whole point is I would rather separate the two coasts in exchange for a longer que but better connection.

Well I still appreciate the change cuz now I can play in 30-40 ping instead of 250+

That said, I can sincerely sympathize, I didn't even understand how significant ping was until the reroute and I found out that 90% of the champs I played didn't have half-second cast times.

And riot just doesn't give a fuck.

I mean why are you blaming and flaming Riot for an issue that is outside their control? You think Riot makes up the routing? You should be bitching to your ISP

Firstly riot can solve this in many ways.

Creating better nodes Creating official nodes Making an east coast server (not recommended) Changing the route (Which yes, they can do)

ISP's will not change a route just because I ask them to.

I live in Northern Georgia and haven't lagged unexplained in all my history playing League. Just my own input here.

Im surprised really. I know many people all around this area of the country and they all have this problem. Who is your ISP?
