I think it fits his theme to have some AP scaling, and wouldn't affect any part of his AD gameplay. The reason I am asking is so that it might open up more build variety to him. Especially since I enjoy playing him AP from time to time, it would just make it a tad more viable.

The only thing adding an AP ratio to his Q would do is make AP Varus' Q more oppressive, and make the combined burst of his W and Q absolute insanity.
