as a support main i actually wish that thresh was played against me every game. By far one of the easier opponents for me to lane against.

He is one of the best, hence his popularity in the tournaments. However, in the hands of 99% of the players, he's one of the worst.

Honestly, I just feel I ought to point this little detail about him that a lot of people seem to forget. His lantern is not only a good tool to save your teammates, but it can also significantly make his engages even better. Not only is there a thresh on top of you, there is potentially a Jarvan, or a Vi, or another hard engager or a mega tank, and they haven't had to use any of their abilities to get on top of you.

Also, he's hilarious when playing against a Thresh. ADC gets hooked? Eat them. You can do it every time he manages to land a hook since devour has a shorter cd. And the enemy adc can't click the lantern when they're in your belly.
