Thresh haslike a 2 sec stun on his hook, 2 sec 99% slow on his ult (basically a snare), and a knockback from flay with a heavy slow as well.

Combined, its like 6 seconds of lockdown. Leona has a 1.5 sec stun on ult and q. That's 3 seconds.

You are forgetting about the root on her E as you wait for her to get over to you (probably in the ~0.75-1 sec range).

Thresh's max potential lock down is ~4.5 seconds: 1.5s stun from hook, 2 seconds from ult (assuming you are the first to break wall if not 1 sec), and ~1 second from flay. But ult just locks you in an area- if he flays you into an ult wall it is just ~3.5s (as slows don't stack or wait until current slow is over to be applied)

Also keep in mind if thresh has 40 cdr and lands a hook it's a 6 second cd, so if you survive the first rotaition, get ready for another hook.

Earlier today I tried using my E as Soraka to silence any targets standing in the area of his lantern. The enemy still was able to grab it, despite my ability being active.

There's officially no counterplay to Thresh's lantern.

Um, I think that would be a counterplay issue for Soraka if it did work.

People don't cast Thresh's lantern, Thresh casts his own lantern. You need to silence Thresh, not the lantern.

And how are you supposed to silence Thresh if he's standing an entire screen away, out of range? The thing is, using his lantern comes at zero risk for Thresh and offers a huge reward for anyone who grabs it since it's a certain escape from death, even better than Flash.

Silencing a champion actually disables the use of items, so why shouldn't it be the same for something that you can interact with on the map if you affect one of his allies? At least deny them the possibility to click on the lantern.

The enemy team should be able to "interact" with Thresh's lantern aswell to somehow shut it down. Standing on it doesn't work anymore.

You can counter play the lantern by standing on it so that the enemy can't click it. You can also interrupt their dash back to thresh.

Hes complaining about how thresh has such high utility and stun lock. Leona can stun lock you for almost 4 seconds easily, but in a minute thresh can CC you to hell and back and then to hell again

I laugh when thresh lands a hook on when I am playing Braum Leona Alistar Nautilus Same thing goes when blitz lands a hook on me. ALso for your reference I main a gold 3 support with a 56% win ratio
