"We have nerfed lucian and kassin cause they don't trade much for their mobility"

i never like the circle around nerfs that has been riot balance policies the past years.
Kassadin didnt deserved the nerfs until the wrecked tank items, bruiser meta and nerfed all his laning opponents...what was supposed to happen?
Here is what kassadin payed for his mobility:
-Huge damage nerfs -abilities CD nerfs -Combo nerfs (R dmg switched to W) -Ap ratios Nerfs -Mana Costs nerfs -R gating nerfs -Silence removed -MR scaling removal -base armor nerfs -R CD nerfs -E slow nerfs -attack speed passive nerfs -R range nerfs -(base health nerfs if im not mistaken)
You wanna know the worst of it? Its that he was already paying for his mobility.
R costs were after 5 casts= 1500 mana (afterwards it becomes 2100) Today its: 1550 (afterwards it becomes 2350)
But it used to be much much worse.
His E is used only after 6 spells done. (which means you cannot trade all the time, or do your combo all the time) Altho its easier in team fights, you still got a cd on it--AND an animation that shows your E is available. All at high costs.
Hes just a complete mess with only weaknesses and two slight notable strenghts. No he doesnt truly counter mages. Galio gets better dmg and resistance than he does.
His mobility is also not on par to leblanc, fizz, nidalee and ulti yi. I get catched by a lot of different champs. even after 16.
Lets not even talk about ryze, olaf and veigar.
Man that nerf-list you put together really hits home...
He's so underwhelming now it's redonk
RIP
My friend got Kassadin in ARAM the other day and asked me ''So what does he do?''
I just said ''Nothing. You're gonna be useless.''
He's so pathetic it's sad
I don't know friend but i personally think
is prone to assassinate carries instead of fight people, R nerfs is fair for me as it annoys me everytime he can get in easy, and then get out easy, just like Zed nerfs, think before going a fight, mana cost isn't a big problem as his W can restore mana if you don't spam abilities, Q silence is replaced with a shield so i think some people may take it, for MR you take Abyssal Scepter or Athene's Unholy Grail as grail also helps to regen mana. Sin overall i don't think it's overdone. (just personal idea no h8)

With 6 items. kassadin cannot 100-0 a full health ad carry. ive done the math. and thats a carry without banshees or GA. Im not sure why you think his blink is annoying when 30-40+ champs have some sort of mobility tied ability with some who have greater ones than kassadin.
It seems to me you arent a kass player, nor a main. nor very experienced with him.
Athenes is a death sentence if you want to eventually deal dmg. the ap is low, the mr is low. the cd and regen is nice but he doesnt need it--might aswell get
. he needs the mana pool rather with
W- proc is also nice but it is high cd and based on missing mana. since its also a dmging ability sometimes you have to make choices in which you shouldnt be making them.
Abyssal is situational. Not a bad one, just rare to get.
Q was intended to be more for laning. since his cd are high, dmg is ok. He usually is outraded anyway. that shield is low base and low ap ratio. And in the laning phase, well ap isnt exactly high to make use of it.
Yeah m8 as you thought am not main Kassa (wait have i ever played Kassa?), i don't really think am correct, just saying my personal idea as i plays some mid and meet up with Kassa i feels like (ノಠдಠ)ノ︵┻━┻. It's just a change of playstyle but saing its overdone isn't pretty fair for some player, people also commented about the Veig etc. changes, but there's still people playing it and pretty good, it's just the feeling when you mains someone and Rito (trolls) changed them completly, i feels you m8 R.I.P Kassa

i atleast expected to see
when i clicked this topic.. disappointed
She's the queen of not paying for her mobility. 4 dashes on a low cooldown and in return she loses... nothing. She's resourceless and has 1.5 seconds of CC, spammable AD scaling shield, a steroid in her ult, and a fuckton of damage sandwiched between her AAs with her passive.
Uh, she loses plenty in exchange for her mobility. The thing people don't seem to understand about Riven is that all of her dashes have other functions, and if she uses them just for the dash, she doesn't get the other value. If she uses Q as a gap closer or escape she doesn't get to use Q for damage, because she needs to Q right on top of you to actually hit you with it. The shield on E has such a short duration that if she wants to actually absorb damage with it she needs to time it, she can't just spam E on cooldown and get much value out of it.
If you have trouble against Riven because of her mobility, try standing far enough away that she can't just E-W you and then combo. Every Q she needs to use to get to her target is damage she doesn't get once she's on top of them. If she can get to you before using Q, then she gets to move and damage you at the same time, and it's hard as hell to get her off of you. Make her waste Q activations on movement and her burst will go way down.
Sooooooooooo, she get's more options? What a trade off.
Low hp regen is SUCH a drawback, you wouldn't believe how HARD it is to stay healthy on this dorans blade, just look at my enemy laner, he got one aswell but he is still low health because he can't use it on minions and he does have decent health regen. My. Life. Is. So. Hard.
Not like low hp regen matters when you can dash in with your shield up, get 4 auto attacks off during the 1.5 seconds of stun the enemy takes (thanks to animation cancelling), either killing them or forcing them to run for their life.

Nerf after nerf and she is still an overloaded abomination that outclasses all the other ADC's and is 90% pick/ban in LCS. It doesn't help that she is toxic to play against.

He pays for his mobility, but so does everyone he lanes against. You've got to micromanage not only your own stuff depending on your champion, but you have to micromanage Yasuo too, like Auto has said. Gotta make sure you know how many Q stacks he has if any at all, his windwall's CD since that thing will cockblock you really hard, the shield because it can stop a lot of all-ins, and of course making sure he has no escape when he tries to minion jump around to hit you.
Kalista trades safety and damage for mobility. She has no mobility if she's not in AA range, and her damage...sucks. And people are STILL QQing about her. It's so stupid. I joke about Riven, but honestly, she's meh, too. Nidalee? Useless against tanks. Vayne? Less range than Kalista, greatly reduced mobility out of combat. Ahri? No mobility without her ult. Why is she even on the list? Lee Sin either is squishy or has no damage. Fizz? Uh...he...no, you got me there.
Kalista's mobility is what makes her so safe. She also has an added slow on her rend and a knock-up ult. Her lack of damage? Rend essentially means she has to use 3/4 the autoattacks of any other ADC to kill you.
Nidalee isn't useless against tanks... She can chuck spears from a very safe distance for days on end until they're whittled down enough to go in for a kill. Also, Void Staff is a thing.
Ahri was buffed to give movement speed on her Q for some reason that I'm pretty sure is still unknown... But I'll agree that she's not that bad to play against. In fact, she's one of my favorite champs to play against. :)
It's literally impossible for a Lee to not have damage when he has a % health mechanic, though...
Kalista's mobility doesn't make her safe, because she only has it in situations where she is NOT safe. The only one Kalista might be "safe" from is Olaf. But he's...Olaf. XD She doesn't have a knock-up ult. She gives her support a knock-up, and the difference is extremely important. And no, Rend doesn't mean she has to use 3/4 of the autoattacks of any other ADC to kill you, because they have steroids, too — bigger ones, that let you kill her long before Rend stacks high enough to kill you, and they do their damage up-front, so you can never just flash away at the last second, because the damage is already done. I can't stress this point enough: every other ADC has MORE damage output than Kalista. More, not less. All of them. Yes, even after Rend — which, by the way, she loses if she ever misses a kill. Sated Devourer might help her catch up, but otherwise...nah. Kalista falls off HARD in the late game. This was true BEFORE they nerfed her autoattack damage scaling, and it's even more true now.
Void Staff only ignores 35% of their MR. The other 65% will still reduce Nidalee's damage by quite a bit. And here's the thing. Void staff does nothing against health, and health itemization out-paces her AP scaling. She can't whittle down that health if she can't hit with her javelins. Even if she throws them from out of sight, she gives away her position, and won't hit more than one. Finally, the obvious AP answer to stacking health, Liandry's Torment, is something Nidalee struggles to use effectively, due to her complete lack of CC. I will say that "useless" was certainly hyperbole, but she is definitely at an extreme disadvantage against anyone who builds, say, Veil or Visage. The only way she can overcome this is to build tank herself, use Rylai's or Iceborn to keep Liandry's burning strong, and hope to out-sustain them. If she does this, she sacrifices damage overall for frontline presence. There are ALWAYS tradeoffs.
Ahri was what?! -checks- Holy wow. That's a thing. Okay. Seems fun. Her scalings are mediocre, so I guess she needs that. Also, repositioning to guide the return shot. Makes sense.
Lee Sin has % MISSING health damage. An execute. Which is...not really damage. But I guess it's something. I'll give you that. Tank Lee Sin is not harmless.
Kalista is virtually immune to skillshots due to her mobility. There is very little point and click CC in this game, unfortunately... Unless you can one shot her, she'll easily get away. As for falling off late game... No ADC falls off late game, lol. The point is to be the carry for the late game.
Nidalee just annoys me due to her safety more than anything. Mobility is definitely part of that, but I feel like I should have a fair shot at killing something that can throw spears for days that increase their damage the further away she is.
You're correct on Lee Sin though--my bad, I've always thought it was just a flat out percentage. The more you know. :D
She's not immune to skillshots, though. You just have to aim where she's going to be, not where she is. She can't change direction mid-dash, and her dash has a wind-up. This is in contrast with Vayne, who can dash instantly almost at will. Kalista stands a very good chance of dodging slow-moving skillshots, but they can still be used to zone her out of positions where she can effectively deal damage.
"No ADC falls off late game, lol. The point is to be the carry for the late game."
Well, that's the problem, isn't it? She is the exception to the rule that defines her role. She doesn't have good range like Ashe, Caitlyn, Kog'Maw, and Tristana. She doesn't have attack speed steroids like Ashe, Jinx, Kog'Maw, Tristana, or Twitch. She doesn't have a direct AD steroid like Twitch or Vayne (her closest comparisons — incidentally, they both have stealth, too). In fact, now the AD she does build is dampened. She has Yasuo crits without the better crit chance, and even her non-crit attacks are weakened. She can't do a crit build nearly as well as anyone else, as a result, and she has to build lots of attack speed and raw damage to take full advantage of the unique strengths she does have. Not being able to pull off crit means that yes, her damage falls off late game. Basically the entire reason crit exists is to make sure the ADC can keep being a damage threat in the late game, and Kalista can't pull it off. She's built to reward prolonged combat presence, and her damage pressure is outclassed by everyone else in her role past level 5. She needs to get a lead in the laning phase and keep it long enough to win. The longer a game goes on, the worse her chances. This got a little better when Sated Devourer became an option, because she gets extra Rend stacks and she can secure dragon to actually GET Sated, but it's still not as good as a crit build on someone with high attack speed built into their kit or free AD (or both...Ashe, Twitch, I'm looking at you).
As for Nidalee, if it makes you feel any better, the PBE currently has her javelin base damage reduced above rank 1 (rank 5 is 130/390 max, down from 150/450), and cast time DOUBLED (now 0.25 sec) so it should be much easier to react. Unless you don't see her, but frankly, if you don't see her, you should be nervous. I think that's fair. XD
You can't rend for a slow and then rend for damage. You gotta choose one or the other. The knock-up ult requires your partner be able to be thrown as well, plus they gotten shoot at the right angle or a tank could easily face-block it since it doesn't matter where they choose, if they hit a person before they get to the destination, they faceplant into the guy. She's strong and can be safe, but she doesn't do much damage outside of pressing E late game. Early game, you E for a slow and follow up with Q's and AA's, but late game, you're throwing spears non-stop to stack them high enough to do damage. Get any kind of AS slow and your safety and your damage just took a huge loss.
people just don't understand not to get kited they don't understand that it's kalista's job to kite the fact that you are not down voted to the abyss gives me hope that there are smart people who play this game
must stay relatively close to you to deal damage, while his only reliable escape, playful/trickster is a decent chunk of his damage. The ranged attack he does have is his ult, which can be body blocked by other champs or miss outright and still may require
to get close to you to follow through.
At least that's what I get from reading his kit. I'm not sure how this translates in game.
She trades....SAFETY? Because she is ONLY weak against point and click cc like pretty much EVERY.SINGLE.OTHER. champion in the game? She is litterally, and i mean LITTERALLY immune to Melee champions that aren't as overloaded as she is. EDIT: Doesn't she have a "push this button to slow anyone you want" aswell? And didn't that button also not outclass Expunge and Smite...at the same time...?
Yes, safety. She is NOT only weak against point and click CC. Her dash has a windup and a fixed distance. When she hops, you know where she's going to land, and you know she's going to stay there for a moment. If she's farming minions and you're 900 units away, sure, she might dodge, but if she's in range to attack YOU, it's actually VERY easy to land a skillshot.
Do you know how many melee champions have both gap closers and stuns? She's not "immune", any more than Vayne or Tristana. But it's her job to kite. If she catches you out of position and you don't have a root or stun, and you can't match her autoattack range, of course she's going to kite you. That's ALL SHE DOES. "Olaf can't catch her! D:" THEN DON'T CHASE HER. Pfft. PFFFT. Come on.
And no, Rend does not actually outclass Smite. Smite is point-and-click instant true damage. Rend requires her to sit there attacking a target uninterrupted for longer than most fights last in order to reach that level of damage. It also contains more than a third of Kalista's damage output, and she loses that damage if she uses it for a slow. Twitch's Contaminate ("Expunge" hasn't been a thing since last season) serves a different purpose. It doesn't remove the stacks, it doesn't stop you from adding more stacks while it's on cooldown, and the stacks deal true damage over time just by being there. Twitch builds crit to complement his attack speed and AD boosts, those things I talked about Kalista not having as the cause for her being unable to keep up in damage with other ADCs.
Vayne... huge mobility... what? if she has nothing to hit Vayne is immobile as fuck. She wants to hit something with her tumble so the CD can actually start which isn't always possible
Vayne... huge mobility... what? if she has nothing to hit Vayne is immobile as fuck. She wants to hit something with her tumble so the CD can actually start which isn't always possible
Sorry, but Vayne isn't immobile as fuck. Yes, she has tumble, and yes, in order for it to go on CD immediately you need to attack something. She also has a passive that gives her a ms boost when moving toward an enemy champion. It's not a flash or dash, but it's really solid mobility that counts when it needs to.
Don't forget her passive triples when she activates her ult.
And it gives her stealth on Q
I think Ahri is probably one of the only "mobility champions" that I enjoy to fight against without feeling like she's cheating me out of anything fair. Her Q gives her a movement speed buff that decays, and if she spams it early game without a mana item, she can quickly lose the mana. Her Ultimate comes on a fairly high cooldown, and gives her 3 dashes with some damage.
I personally like Ahri simply because while she was mobility, It's not like she's Kalista and uses it constantly all game long. Ahri conserves her mobility for when she knows she'll need it. And even then, there's counterplay to the rest of her kit.
But yeah gut Fizz.
ahri has the same win rate of amumu and heimerdinger while being good in the lcs as well
Don't focus on an objective criterion, and start spewing nonsense about champions that are generally hated for no good reason. I hear LeBlanc is really toxic and has no counterplay, start there.
This meme is tired and worn out.

-Vayne main
I don't play Vayne. As a matter of fact I'm terrible at her. Before you even accuse me of playing anything that would encourage me to side against this, almost all of my most played champions are immobile.
How can you be terrible at right clicking.
Maybe he decides Vayne just fights better when she is in melee range of a six slotted Tryndamere, I don't know.
Clearly she fights best at 100 range from full ap mordekaiser
"Wut"
I don't understand why people complain about Vayne still. Her early sucks.
You get BF sword on first back, she gets Bilgewater Cutlass.
If you can't win trades or fights against her now then ???????
Of course her level 6 all in is good, if not out standing. If she gets the third auto off on any trade, she wins it immediately basically.
Then when she gets Bilgewater Cutlass, she just life steals all of your damage.
Also when she pops her ult, she gets an ad bonus, which makes up for what she loses out on for not getting a
first back.
Sooooo yeah
AHEM

He has no mobility outside of lane. Try harder.
Vayne is considered mobile now?
[deleted]
I think I've played Vayne one time in my years of playing League of Legends.
But obviously, everyone who disagrees with you is only doing it from a defensive prospective, right? They can't just see logic and correct those with blind hate of something?
Whenever I worry about an upcoming ability update, I always remember how Riot just crushed Kassadin underfoot.
Can we just stop pretending mobility and burst are the only useful things in LoL?
Kassadin sacrificed everything for those two things, but people like to ignore everything else so he had to lose his mobility as well. The lack of CC, waveclear, base damages, ranged autos, scaling MR on a melee, etc. are all huge drawbacks that he has always had. They were enough weaknesses to balance him.
Now he's just utter garbage because he has nothing but mild mobility and a decent trading tool in lane (with an awful CD and only for 1 spell trades) + mana sustain. Give him waveclear or base damages or something if mobility + burst is really that cancerous of a combination. He needs something.
According to these boards, Kassadin does have a HARD CC. His Q can interrupt channels. You know.. Like, 4 abilities. Fiddle, Nunu, Anivia, Galio, Malzahar, Karthus (If he's stupid enough to R when not dead or close enough for a Kassadin to Q), Shen (If he's for some reason against a Kass in lane and doesn't walk away from Kass to press R?), Janna, WW, and Lucian. So... 10 abilities, but because it 'prevents an ability/action', it's apparently considered hard CC. lol. It doesn't stop Lux's channel though. Toggles like Karthus' E and Mao's R as well as Tethers like Morg and Karma's aren't stopped, but hey. It can stop the Galio if he manages to cast it right before Galio presses R or if he's stupid enough to be within range of Lucian's R or if he's not the target of Malz's R! It stops WW's R, which is nice I suppose and for those rare occasions there's a Nunu or if the enemy Fiddle is just that stupid he's going to ult with a Kass right there. lol. :P
Honestly though, Kass just gets shafted because he's supposed to be an Anti-Mage, yet his only anti-mage bits in his kit are his Q's shield and his passive. His Q can interrupt, but most of them he'll never get to interrupt. A Karthus knows to not R near a Kass, as does a Shen, Anivia already got her R off to slow him to be able to press E anyways, Galio isn't exactly easy to hit with it since you're likely going to be caught IN his R, and overall, it's just too situational now, ESPECIALLY compared to the old silence he had. Riot hates that Kass does everything but be an Anti-Mage, yet all they gave him was a shield and some damage resistance to it. His old kit, he absorbed 15% and turned it into Attack Speed for his W while his Q could silence and give him a shield while his mobility was the best mage-murdering tool around, dodging skill shots like no other. Now? He has a bubble, 15% reduced magic damage taken, and an interrupt... Nothing says Anti-Mage about that at all. It says 'I can ignore your mage to dive your ADC instead.' Like, seriously.
We have two other Anti-Mages, one being a tank, and BOTH gain DAMAGE against Mages. Veig does damage based on his opponents AP and Galio gains damage for building Magic Resist. Kass gains nothing over a mage. He has the damage resistance to make it through the laning phase, but his ratios are so garbage, he won't out scale the enemies and his mobility only lasts for a couple jumps before it's his ENTIRE mana bar being used and he gains almost no damage off these stacks anymore. We're better off simply removing the cool down reduction it gets as he levels and removing the mana cost boost while up'ing its base cast to, say, 200 mana at 1, 175 at 2, 150 at 3. This way, it's still gated by mana, but it's not, 'You get 3 jumps, now you have to wait 15s.'. Just make the damn CD as 10s and cut the boosted costs. He'll scale with Mana Regen and CDR now, he won't be one shotting carries, and he'll keep his mobility. Win-win situation.
