Can't you see people play him because people are just spamming AD champions because, you know, you buffed all their items and even created a new assassin item, while nerfing ap items so AD mids are even more a thing?. Malphite is not the problem. 4 AD compositions are.

He is the only tank in the game to get damage for building armor and to have a self increasing armor stat. I had 500+ armor with him one game with 3.5k+ hp and 130 MR meanwhile I smack people for about 1.6k+ damage in just the initial burst. Hard to call that fair and balanced especially when he has probably one of the best engage ults in the game.

Rammus and Taric both have attacks that scale with armor.
