It's been 6 months... Can we stop ignoring Nidalee now?

ever since the removal of strength of ages nidalee has been a trash tier pick.

now i know this is going to get downvoted because there are a bunch of morons who don't like her...

DESPITE the fact she is the ONLY assassin that even NEEDS to land a skillshot to go in. despite the fact that every other assasin got a signifcant change during the assasin rework.. and she was also ignored in the mage rework.

her winrate went down to 38% earlier this yeah beating out the 10th place spot for the lowest winrate in the history of league.

and even in her BEST elom in fact in EVERY elo she is last place in the jungle, (until recently when rengar was gutted and took her last place spot)

riot you took her out of lane.. you put her in the jungle... if i lost top mid and support nidalle to get jungle nidalee.. can i at least GET jungle nidalee?

she has ZERO favorable matchups, she no longer counters ANYONE.

her role as an assasin can be done by ANY other assassin easier and better.

she brings NOTHING to the team.

a lvl 18 max build will net you about 400 ap while still having only about 100 of each resistance and 1900 hp.

her "early clear" is now slower than most its less safe.. and its harder... and she doesn't even get an advantage for it.

she has always been bad lategame but now she doesn't even have an advatange early or mid game to make up for that.

i have mained nidalee since season 3 patch 3.6 when i started... i have been with her every change since then. i have the 38th most nidalee mastery in North America...

there is NOTHING she brings to a game that cant be done better by another champion.. and at the same time she is weaker in all other aspects..

she has a whit tons of weakness which i can spend easily an half hour discussing... and next to zero strengths...

and dont bring in "she is hybrid artillery" bullshit.. she CANT do that in the jungle.. and even if she wanted to do that... there are other champs that can do that WAY better.

i can quote percentages and data all day but no one every listens anyways so why bother..

the point in in her CURRENT state you could increase her winrate by 5% in EVERY ELO and NOT break her. that statement alone should NOT BE POSSIBLE.

NICE!!! but wow, i really expected there to me more players with high mastery...

i mean at 38th place i have just slightly over 100k more that. (although i am adding my 2 main accounts together)

starting to make me wonder how accurate that site we are using is now... (pretty sure thats the same one i used)

No, we're pretty much going to ignore Nidalee. As long as there's new players, the binary gameplay of 'oh sweet jesus let this spear land so I can be useful' will succeed in some way and they'll keep her as this atrocious Suppassimage. All because the way her spear works pretty much means all her power has to be in it.

It's not a healthy gameplay because it doesn't leave her a lot to do. They even gutted out her heal. Don't give me that 'but it scales up'-- yeah, to its original healing prior to being halved. Just because her Q in both forms demand so much power. The traps are still just an excuse to ward bushes and trigger her passive, which seems like a waste of a skill slot. The AS buff is nice, though, I've always liked the synergy with that and Censer. Mmm.

They need to not be afraid to break and recreate Nidalee. I think it would be okay if they chose to put her a little closer to her fights with a less... wannabe support mage kit on one end.

Uhhh champion.gg and op.gg have her around a 50% winrate and 4% playrate for Platinum+, so I'm not sure why you're crying about percentages. If her winrate was increased by 5% in every elo she would definitely be broken. She is far from last place in the jungle, so that's just a downright lie. She "needs" to hit her spears about as much as Fizz needs his ult to go in. One of her strengths is that shes extremely mobile in the jungle, more so than most other champs other than maybe graves and lee. I am rank 20 in NA for Diana mastery level and I think she needs more help than Nidalee. She was made to be a jungler yet she has no stats on op.gg since she isn't played enough in that role and on champion.gg shes 39/42 for junglers with a .45% playrate. She also needs to hit a skill shot to go in although technically she isn't an assassin. My point being is that there are other champions who have been ignored far longer than Nidalee, who isn't even in that bad of a spot right now.

History has proven, multiple times, that Nidalee is one of the riskiest champions to buff. Every time Riot makes an attempt, she always gets out of control. She not exactly a fun champion to play against either and when she's strong, people will play her every game like with Graves.

I mean, for starters, I have 34th highest mastery on Nidalee in the US, but that's a terrible metric for skill on a champion. Nidalee is NOT in a bad spot right now; just because her playstyle is less 1v9 then it was last season is not a bad thing. She is difficult to play, yes, but she isn't in a shit spot like she was at the beginning of the season. She requires a lot of practice and a lot of time, and not just playing her because she's fun, but actually actively going out of your way to analyze your play to make it better.

im not comparing her to last season, and i know your good with nidalee.. you're on my freinds list... we used to duo XD.

i know she isnt in as bad as it was when she was 38%.

(and this next part is going to get me some hate...) but it not like she was that "great spot" last year either. she was balanced yes...

well, yes in higher elos she was broken at the beginning of the seasons... but even at WORLDS when she was 100% pick ban. she was BALANCED in every elo plat and below, and i NEVER saw her banned.

i have discussed this before, but as we both know WHEN nidalee is actually balanced for solo play, she become VERY powerful in co-ordinated play. there is no way around that she has no form of CC and she needs to be balanced around having no form of CC not be balanced around a teammate being able to root/stun the enemy the 2nd she gets in spear range.

that's called teamwork. riot CAN'T balance her as if the spear is 100% going to land.. when it isn't.

and yes if the spear becomes a point and click ability she WOULD be balanced and her winrate would go up to what it is in high elo.

but it's NOT.

and just becuase you and me have over 1000 games and CAN both land pretty much every spear even without teamwork. you STILL have the other issue of.. she cant do shit by herself and requires a team to fight..

you know as well as i that if you pounce into a 1v4 it donest matter how fed you are... your ganna die.. peroid.. even if its bots... your ganna die. thats not what nidalee does.. she is a predator... she picks off weak (or squishy) targets away from the group and then gets out..

even when she is balanced your ganna die in a 1v3 if you pounce in...

but when she is balanced at least she has strong points... at least she has SOME point in the game were she strong compared to another champion...

you're in the same elo i am. (i know... we have duoed together, i would love to duo again sometime if i ever i get my internet lag spike issuse fixed) you know NO ONE ever sets up CC for you when you gank.

and u have access to the same data i do...how can u think she is NOT in a bad spot...

i dont have a problem with her not having a 50% win rate in my elo.. i dont expect her to... but i would at least like a 47%?

that would bring her high elo play to 52%? thats still perfectly fine. a stronger than necessary at that elo yes.. but it it means she is playable at lower elo.. whats the issue... we ARE getting 10 bans... if she is only an issue for the top 2% of players? why cant they ban her... rather than having her useless for the other 98%.

and obviously you and me can keep a 50%+ winrate on her...

even when she was at 38% i BARELY managed to keep a 50% winrate on her.

i hesitate to make this comparison because its a pretty excessive exaggeration.

but you dont balance Syndra or Ryze based on faker can do with them. you balance then on what us mere mortals can do with them.

we are some of the BEST nidalee players... not the best players no... but some of the best ones at Nidalee.

I play Nidalee mid with dft and I can do well in a fair amount of matchups. Plus if you build her with archangel staff and lich bane with luden's your spears can 100-0 ADCs when you are at full build.
