Let’s just say riot decided to make a new map. How would you feel about it? Would you want to play it only in normals or would you like to play on a new map in both ranked and normals?
Theres no way for them to do that because of the competitive play. But if they do , only on normals again because of the competitive play.
It really depends on what the map has going on, it's like when TFT came out, I tried that game, and thought it was fun but the "RNG" is too annoying for me, there just doesn't feel like there's any skill to it, unlike, say, nexus blitz or any of the other game modes, it just depends on what the new map brings with it.
I doubt Riot will ever make a ranked mode for new League maps because ranked for TT and Dominion never worked out. Unless they somehow produce a map that draws enough players to rival the Rift, they'll never have critical mass to justify investing in a new ranked mode.
I think it should be both normals and ranked. the map should be 5 vs 5 with only 2 lanes for 3 laners and should have jungle on top side of map (with tower) for 2 junglers a team.
Another good idea for this map is events and fail safe condition so games don't go over 20 mins like say a walking nexus at the end.

I would like a 7 vs 7 map with 2 tops, 1 mid, 2 bots and 2 junglers.
With special items for XP share. With this, we are reducing jungle fustration because they are 2. They should farm the same camps together and gain the same PO and XP. Same for top lane. If one top laner last hit a minion, the other get XP and gold too.
Same for bot lane. If the adc last hit a minion, his support will also have the XP and Gold. If the support last hit, the adc would also have the gold and XP.
Bot lane stay the same. Top is better because less pressure.
Mid become the worst lane because the guy is alone vs 2 junglers and the other mid laner.
I would like this map to be both normal and ranked.
