League of Mobility

I've just notice that recently its been tough for champs with low mobility/CC

Can we just mention how annoying Ahri ,Zed, LeeSin, Leblanc, Ekko, Katarina, Ezreal, Tristana, etc

Champs that have more room to make mistakes and have easy escapes. Like if you don't have CC, then you have to play much much much more carefully than most other champs being made recently. Like there is this gaint gap of game-play where some champs can make mistakes all day and get super greedy but still have a door to get back. While other champs have to play much smarter with positioning and when or when not to engage.

Like I never play Mid, but I always win in Mid when I go Ahri. I can make so many mistakes, over-extend, get out of position, be greedy as hell, and in the end I just have to smash my face into the "R" region of my keyboard and I end up not only escaping but with a couple kills on the way out too! XD

Yeah this is one reason why I can't play nautilus. It's not so much his slow engage or disengage. It's just playing him drives me insane how slow he is. It just feels like you're so slow to do anything and you aren't making an impact on the game.

I've never had that problem with Nautilus. In fact I generally pick him INTO high mobility opponents. Just one solid anchor...

i'm fine with high mobility like ahri's, lee sin, etc. AS LONG AS they trade something off for their mobility. atm, it's not the case though

I love the ahri exagerration at the end. Always good to make things up to prove a point.

Well, at least it's an exaggeration and not completely made up like some people do on the boards :/

That is very true

i don't think they are annoying, i just think that there is not enough reward for choosing immobile champions.

Riot must stopped gutting mage champions.(Azir,Viktor,Ryze etc.) So this champions are annoying.

to be fair, azir and ryze are much worse for low mobility champs than for mobile champs.

azir in particular, as his soldiers can be dodged by mobile champs, while theyll hit low mobility champs much more reliable. and its not like hes immobile himself. he can combo for a pretty long range dash.

i dont understand the viktor nerf either, but ryze and azir have toxic kits. ryze can completely prevent low mobility champs from moving while he kills them, not giving them a chance to fight back or escape. azir has no counter to his zoning. if he places a soldier next to his minions, then good luck going in to cs.

You were happy.Riot gutted Azir.

well, i said they should give him a mini rework to make him work with destructable soldiers. like heimer turrets and zyra plants work. i tried to make a suggestion that would keep him viable while giving his opponents a bit more room to play around the soldiers and deal with his zoning.

instead of a civilized discussion and feedback, i just got bitched at by azir mains. so yea. since they didnt want something like that, im very pleased.

my point still stands. azir is a) not immobile as he has a considerable dash, and b) is worse for low mobility champs than highly mobile ones. so buffing him woudlnt exaclty help with mobility creep.

According to you Azir isn't immobile mage but his movement speed only 325.Even immobile mages have 330 or 335.

azir isnt immobile because he has a long distance dash. what the hell does his base movment speed to do with that?

darius base movement speed is 345. that doesnt make him mobile.

do you ever think before youre typing?

Yes.Because 325 very low for half mobile champion.330 or 335 ideal.

i agree on same champs but disagree on others.. Ahri no, not op becuase that is her ultimate

Zed andLeblanc are by far the worst offenders if ANYONE thinks these are balanced or fun to play vs.. they are misleading themselves

LeeSin i feel has a LOT of mobility and is VERY strong but he DOES have downsides

he needs soemthign to move TO and he NEEDS to land his Q. granted i feel she shouldn't do quite as much damage after his Q lands. but at least he has counterplay. similar in some ways to Nidalee in the way of landing the Q for damage and needing to land a spear to proc hunted.. both champs are useless if they dont land that skilshot.. except lee donest use mana and is way more tanky and in able to fight and go in many more times than nid coudl becuase nid would just get cced to death.

Ekko is find very balanced, strong but with alot of counterplay you just really have to pay attention to where is 4 second time warp point is. very squishy and highly susceptible to cc

Katarina again is very mobile and VERY snowbally. but like lee she has to have somthing to tele to. i dont feel its her mobility that is a problem as much as her burst damage and teamkill potential if not CCed down.

Ezreal andPoppy i think have no issues with thier mobility.. their mobility is fine. i WOULD however say that the fact that they can get out of things likeBlitzcrank pull AFTER it lands to be BROKEN.. that is the only real issue i have with them, otherwise i would call them balanced

They shifted the game from being like a game of chess to that of a twitch based shooter, they did this by removing targeted abilities, increasing mobility, and reducing the time to kill.

It's fair to say that champions with high mobility are much safer to play than low mobility champions, but they kits are a lot more complex. Are these two things equivalently exchanged? In my opinion no. Though it's a personal opinion.

The reason for this is that a lot of these champions require some level of mechanical skill to succeed, while the immobile champions require game knowledge and general skill. The reason this exchange isn't even, imo, is because someone who gets very proficient at say Zed, to a much greater extend, doesn't need to understand how the enemy champion works or when they're power spikes occur. They just need to know their own in order to get a easy kill and get out. The difference is that to dominate in lane, the high mobility burst champions only need to have a good understanding of one champion, while a low mobility champion (or with just less burst) must understand both their champion and the enemy champion better than the opponent.
