Have you guys ever felt like you needed to quit?

I don't feel like I lose games because we were outplayed. I lost 3 games tonight - 2 AFKs and a troll. The game I won? THEY had an AFK. I don't care if it's even, that's not a game. I don't quite get why these people are allowed to play as long as they are. If someone in chat acknowledges that they're not helping, they should get banned from ranked.

But they don't. I was so furious after that first AFK game tonight I ended up going to the gym. I needed to anyway, but I thought it was good to just get away for awhile. I'm walking up the street trying to determine why I feel so shitty. And then I realized it was this damn game. People don't take it seriously, I ended up wasting tons of my time, and why am I doing this? Because last season they put out a skin for Gold+ players that I wanted and couldn't get.

**What I'm really asking here is am I alone or do other people feel this way? **It's such an unfair situation when one person can ruin this much for other people by being selfish, clueless, and indifferent to other people. The AFKer said his tower over heated twice during a game. You KNOW your computer does that. It's not new. If it did overheat, he hadn't diagnosed that by the lobby.

The sad thing is, I really like this game. When I've had nothing to do over the years, it was a great way to kill a night alone. I just don't know anymore. I stopped playing ranked on the weekends to avoid this. The trolls still sit here on Tuesday night as well.

Yeah, had this happen. For the longest time I was stuck around silver 3 and continually would lose games on an off for no reason other than outliers like afks or people inting (not just doing poorly, just running down mid). I would feel shitty for the day. I actually would go and paint because it was simple and got me away from constantly trying to deal with people in LoL.

I took a break from it, didn't play for a couple of weeks since decay wasn't an issue. I went back to playing, but decided to just play with the mindset that winning didn't matter. If someone afk'ed and lost the game, who cares. Instead I spent the whole time focusing on if I lost or won lane, or why I died, etc. After all, I was in the most common ELO and probably wasn't going anywhere soon, I might as well spend the whole time focusing on myself and not getting worked up after the outcome of games.

Longer story short, I'm now a single division from diamond, and yes it does get better when you climb (less people who afk/troll/int). Looking back on it, blocking everything out was definitely the reason I moved on, but it was also an issue for me because I used to tunnel a ton as a result. Took a while to break the habit but was worth it to get where I am.

I feel your pain man. I love the game, but there are huge problems that could easily be solved by Riot.

The first is the diminishing returns crap on reports. I literally have someone reportable in at least a third of my games. The amount of trolls and mega toxic people is ridiculous. There are millions of players Rito, you can easily ban thousands of them and still make a boat load of money.

Secondly, the balance is honestly about as bad as it can get in a game like this. The balance team is beyond clueless. The power creep and mobility creep has gone unchecked for years now. They continue to make champs that have ridiculously overloaded kits. RIto it's fine to have champions that don't have answers for every possible situation. Instead of actually nerfing champs, they just randomly buff other champs to try and compensate.
