Are you 5? Early game champions are the hardest champions to utilize, and late game champions are super easy, you simply wait, I had a 1/8 yasuo completely roll daruis late game, despite being solo killed 8 times in lane.
It's not quite as simple. The thing with the waiting game is, Your ahead when your even.
That only works as long as you stay even. You really can't do better than that in the early game, so the best you can do for the early game is force a stale mate. But that stale mate is easily broken by the Jungler (if not a simple mistake) And if you fall behind, you pretty much will stay behind.
The real issue is that Riot is making it difficult for the losing team to stall out a game. (Cause they don't like stalled out games) And that is the main crutch that Hyper carries were using.
I'm a little more convinced that your claim applies to the Lower ELO. Utilizing snowball champions means taking objectives after getting a kill. And utilizing the tools offered by those objectives. But that seems to be lost in Lower ELO where people would rather play a death match than actually focus the objectives.
