I just played a game as Fizz midlane against 
and... I got destroyed. It was my first game as Fizz in a very long time, so of course I was rusty. I was unaware of the changes Riot made to his W, but this match left me wondering whether Fizz is that bad atm? Or I just can't play Fizz? Or Syndra is strong right now? Or all of them?

I actually don't like to think of his E this way, as technically he can still take damage from abilities such as ignite even when he's in E. It makes him untargetable, not invulnerable.
Apart from that, however, yea I should probably get gud
Sir Prepuzius1 votesyou're right, still the outplay potential of that ability, and his entire kit is huge not only offer untargetability but even great mobility (with wall crossing too)
i'm a fan of fizz, and he makes laning against yasuo almost fun.. (think letting him push, let him eat turrets shot, juke tornado and all in him...)

in my opinion is fizz still a strong champ. i didnt see your gameplay but if you dodge syndras stun you should actually win. i dare to say youre just rusty/bad :D

Fízz v21 votesDepends on what elo you are playing in. He isnt good as a champ, and he sucks in high elo, but he works in most elos. And Syndra is one of the few matchups he isnt terrible against even in high elo. At least he countered her before Syndra buffs and Fizz nerfs.
