I get it. You just released Teamfight Tactics. Awesome. But what happened to having a different game mode every week, such as maybe having Legend of the Poro King once, and then ARURF next time. I really think it’s a fun way to take a break from the torture we know as Ranked but also have a lot of fun playing the game, since no one really cares whether they win or lose.

Not all of us want to constantly play Ranked, and not all of us even understand Teamfight Tactics. The random game modes were simple and were just all around fun to play with friends.

Man if we had Ability Draft, I'd die but because League champs are seemingly held together by nothing more than raw spaghetti, Riot would probably break the game like they did yesterday.

In other words, they were more interested in creating new & original modes rather than maintain & update old ones. In the time since this post (early 2018), the only old FGMs that showed up was ARURF & One for All (as far as I can remember). No Ascension, no Hexakill, no Poro King, Definitely Not Dominion etc. But on the flip side, the new modes we got so far was Odyessy, Nexus Blitz & TFT.
Personally, I would like some of the old FGMs again. But Riot is clearly more interested in the new shit.

Having a couple of gamemodes rotate would be fun at first and then people would get bored and not come back to play those gamemodes, and as we all know, Riot has one thing in mind when making things, and that's money. It's way better to spam skins on broken champions that people WILL buy or create gamemodes with the trend in mind.

Yes, I also really want to play the older modes instead of Teamfight Tactics, I don't disagree that they should remove the older modes. But, Riot just wants the money, so they release modes that go with the trend. 2018 had battle royale? Release Nexus Blitz and sneak in some battle royale to get some attention. Dota released underlords? Okay, here's some Teamfight Tactics.
Don't get me wrong, I'd do anything to play Ascension or Doom Bots or Hexakill again. But of course Riot doesn't like that because they don't earn as much money.

Trilink1 votesThe reason I enjoy the fun gamemodes (to me any URF/Poro king/AllForOne) is there's barely any flaming in them compared to normals/ranked, it's such a breath of fresh air to have fun in league chat without hearing "can you report this noob yasuo" in /all.

HBTourSlam1 votesI know the day they released Teamfight Tactics I was hyped but the game is nothing like League of Legends gameplay. Its just moving game pieces. I would look forward to playing League of Legends every weekend. I would start my Friday with playing 3-5 Ranked Games but then I get bored or I got triggered how my last team fed the other team and I would take a break and Join the FUN Rotating Game Modes. To release some steam and to actually have fun without having to worry about if I keep my rank good for that rotating game that is. Instead I could focus on having fun and trying to win and I would play 3-4 games of those then go back to ranked as I have just had a fun time with the FUN game modes now back to playing for climbing up. FUN Rotating Game Modes such as ARURF, King of the Poro, Lunar Abysss the threash game, and the assasin only summonor rift modes, same champion mode are what made the rotating FUN game mode awesome!! Please dont take that away.
