"My ult didnt go off"

Anyone ever wonder why this tends to happen so much to people? I usually dont experience this but i hear it a lot from other players. And its almost always "ult" and not "my w didnt go off".

I notice it on occasion, and far more on the PBE than on live. It's because of the amount of time it takes for me to think of something I want to do, and translate that into action in game. The moment I want to cast my ult is not the same as the moment the key press is recognized and received by the server.

If I'm on the live servers with my low ping, and I'm alert that day I'll never have a problem like this. If I'm tired, or dehydrated, or on the PBE with my rather crappy ping I notice it all the time.

So if I really wanted to I could legitimately blame lag, both from the internet and myself. I could, but I won't, because even with lag proper timing can solve this problem.

The ultimate is more impactful so it is more likely to be noticed.

Other abilities are more likely to be blocked (if only because they are used more often), but it's often not as big an issue.
