I'm d5 for the last 3 seasons. Season 5, I couldn't do anyhting with the +8 / -20 lp shit. Season 6 it was dynamic q lel I just reached d5 stopped playing. Season 7 I actually got to diamond 2, then was literally dragged back to d5 with unwinnable games, like every game was over by 10 mins and I just couldn't win. Now I'm 70% win rate plat 1 and I'm really paranoid about being stuck in d5 again. I knew so many people that were d2-d1 then just like me couldn't win and went back to d5. Is it the autofill deciding games in champ select or just garbage matchmaking when you play against challengers in d4, Idk. But I was never as tilted when I was dropping from d2 to d5. Actually worst games I have ever been in. And I've been in bronze in my first season.

I reached D2 before preseason, and as soon as preseason went live, I dropped to D5. Why? Because my 2 mains Talon MonkeyKing were completely thrown out of meta.

You can clearly see on op.gg Talon's win ratio dropped MASSIVELY to reach #49 in toplane, and around 25-30 in midlane, knowing that he used to be in top 5 win ratios in both lanes.

Wukong on the other hand has always been in a shitty spot, and preseason proved that you dont need more dmg to kill someone, you need to be a Tank +ADC with a shield slave support or another Tank support like Alistar Leona who can take almost no dmg but still destroy your HP bar.

To be honest, I'll be patient about this season, I'm P2 now, I'll be queuing for flex to test a lot of playstyles with both Talon andMonkeyKing which might be able to carry me above D3, or wait till they Rework/adjust Wukong.

wukong is still my highest mastery 400k, even though I didnt play him in a long time. He's just bad if you're not playing normals. Did you play him mid or top ?

I never play lanes, I mostly play jungle, but still it's as bad. Now I'm practicing Talon mid with Dark harvest, I'll be testing Wukong darkharvest iwth different builds in the jungle later.

The thing is a lot of people got boosted last season as a result of the ardent meta. So you will meet many support mains who can't do shit on anything that isn't an enchanter.

I dunno I like playing skarner supp

You think that only accounts for supp mains? Lol. I can send you the replay of my kog maw i had in one of my recent games who can't even kite. I had a lot of high dias in placement matches and after that complaining about adcs with no mechanics being in diamond in general because of duo ardent abuse.

Sadly they're no such thing like SOLO Q.

D5 didn't even seem that hard to me when I got there last season. I just stomped a few games and got to D4 soon. Then I had some unlucky games and dropped to d5 again but climbed out literally on the same day. It's not as hard as you make it seem.

go into d5 with high winrate. get a duo get to d4 then play again on your own that's how it goes. Personally if i fall lower than 60% winrate in low diamond i quit the acc. You can tell by my last year how i went from 70% wr in d2 to 55% in d5 and then simply inted for the rest of the season lul

So go past d5

I don't understand what you're complaining about. Not being good enough to climb out of d5? If you stagnated at d2 and went back to d5 that means that you're not consistent, the games aren't unwinnable, you're just bad and you're doing something wrong. You can only put the blame on yourself if you're stuck in a certain elo.

looks you up on OP.GG screeches in pain after seeing 250 Soraka rankeds

Look buddy, stop playing Soraka, play only mid and top cause that's how you get better at the game and at support. Jax on top, Orianna and Taliyah on mid.

This is probably something you know, but reminder that matchmaking is MMR based and not rank based. A plat 1 with diamond 5 mmr is going to match with the same people as a diamond 5 with diamond 5 mmr, and similarly a diamond 5 with plat 1 mmr will be matched the same as a plat 1 with plat 1 mmr.

So if you're avoiding diamond 5 mmr, the trick tends to be to promote to d5 to get that shiny diamond border, and then lose a handful to hang out at plat 1 mmr.
