Good solo carry champ
i'm finding it impossible to carry games on my own using my main few champions, so I'd appreciate it if anybody knew other picks that can carry a game on their own?

Simple.
You can't. No champ can solo carry this pre season anymore.
Unless enemy team has 5 trolls first timing champions in off roles in ranked that's when you can carry with any main.
assassins in mid. once you hit lv 6, roam bot and double kill the 2 lv 3 or maybe lv 4 enemy bot laners. repeat until youre 20/0. then make your jungler take dragons.
vlad, pyke, any good jungler especially kha'zix, conqueror garen ryze is really strong but dunno if he can 1v9, the other ones i listed can
At that Elo, basically anyone who doesn't get one shot and ideally has built in sustain or buys sustain items. You can abuse Mord, Garen, Tryndamere, Teemo, Mundo, Jax. All of those can be played either top or jungle (maybe not mord). Teemo shrooms are strong, Garen requires a little patience but scales very well, Tryndamere, Mundo and Mord are pretty braindead. Jax takes a little practice, but isn't too hard. Basically, you want to bait the enemy into trying to kill you (not get blown up), then kill them. Or if massively ahead just take everything on the map and if they contest, kill them.
If you must play squishys, I suggest rushing zhonya's for the bait and outplay. It is very useful.
Zed, Talon, Essentially anything that has high damage high mobility. KhaZix and Yi also come to mind.
