his kit isnt going to work going forward

No. I don't need an ADC to be able to kill me with an AA>E>AA combo that ALSO HAS SAFETY IN THEIR KIT. If he gets any safety, they need to nerf his damage output.

Woook3r1 votes

His q does 300 dmg maximum. More than half of his dmg comes from the crits. You probably dont play draven. And this is why you dont have a valid opinion.

Edit: i checked. U dont pllay draven.

Swerzz2 votes

Never said I played draven, but I've played against and died to draven. That's where my opinion has come from.

Or be a good draven? Dravens kit isnt suppose to have good safety, you're suppose to be vulnerable with the trade off being you get the highest DPS of any Adc in the. game.

are you sure that draven has more dps than a lategame vayne? if draven just misses one axe his dps is... underwhelming.

never seen a late game vayne one shot draven, definitely seen multiple dravens one shot vaynes.

Woook3r1 votes

That would be called burst dmg. Dps is sustained dmg and thats what vayne has.

oneshot as in one q? to be honest the only time ive seen that was when a draven had 12 kills and the vayne had been afk half the game. ill admit twoshots with draven are not hard at all, but only one axe seems a bit unlikely.

thät1güy1 votes

It even happened in an LCS game a while back, if memory serves. but I can't find it now, so... maybe it's just personal bias, and that is I see way more 12/0 dravens than I see 12/0 vaynes

weeaboomer1 votes

Yes he does.

Guy Fox Teemo1 votes

Then don't miss an axe, their are god tier draven players who can catch EVERY SINGLE axe during a fight and not die. Yes draven has more dos then vayne, just vayne can duel better because of her stun and invis

Woook3r1 votes

they dont even play the dray.

Woook3r1 votes

He doesnt have the highest dps that would go to kog maw without a doubt. Kogmaw has safety in his massive range. Much more than draven in fact.

Your logic does not hold.. do you even play draven? Or adc for that matter?

Guy Fox Teemo2 votes

Yes he does have the highest DPS. Over the course of a drawn out fight draven still does more, kog maws burst only lasts for a few seconds which can be avoided. That 1600 damage crit draven axe though is going to take you outta the the fight instantly

kog has no real cc, no escapes and is very squishy, he's like assassin bait. Draven does have some beefiness (for an adc) and while kog is strong right now, Draven has been pretty consistent in power level. Also, Draven is my go-to IF he hasn't been counterpicked. just like many champions, he is situational, and is not going to perform well in every game. (Shakes fist at Blitzcrank "DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY AXES YOU MADE ME DROP?!?!")

Woook3r1 votes

"draven has some beefiness"

where do you even get this crap from? Everything you said ab kog applies to draven. Except kog has more range than draven and therefore more safety. He also has higher dps. You dont play kog either....

Hey yo, stop calling people out on how many games as Draven they have played. I just checked YOUR history. You have only played Draven 12 times in Ranked over the past nearly HALF A YEAR. Im not sure you could call yourself a consistent, fully trained Draven master yourself.

http://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=MightySaturn

Not to mention your Ranked win ratio is a small 33% as Draven.

Woook3r1 votes

yes. i dont pick him because he isnt viable in my elo. He does show up on my mastery page tho...i have the most mastery with him atm i think.

Meep Man4 votes

Anything is viable in Bronze 4 dude. Trust me.

thät1güy1 votes

I should have checked that, "I'm bad at this champ so it must be bad" I love Draven and was hoping we could get some intellectual conversation on his kit, changes or ways to approve, but what I got was a huge helping of salty butt hurt. But the only thing as much fun as a fed Draven is a fed troll (no offense to trundle) If nothing else, I feel better, +1

Scrolling through the comments, and "you don't play draven" makes up around 90% of this guy's arguments.

Draven's kit is one of those things to where it can totally function right now, but it's fantasy is in no way reaching what it should be OR it's potential. They need to seriously rework his W, E, and maybe even Passive.

His Q (and R just because of it's coolness) is the about the only thing interesting about him and the rest of his skills don't REALLY synergize with it. Sure, W can HELP you get to caught axes, but is it really the exact spell Draven should have as his W?

Woook3r1 votes

You say this like you actually play the champion. But you dont. So please stop offering comments that suggest you know anything about this champion.

Meep Man2 votes

Damn dude, you act like I RECENTLY played Draven.

No, I dont, but unlike some of you I have been here for 4 seasons. So maybe I played his kit back in the day maybe? Maybe I recall why I STOPPED playing him? Yes? No? Shut it. If you are just going to be negative, go leave that crap somewhere else. Get more information before spewing hate.

Woook3r1 votes

maybe he was the champion he needed to be back in season 6. sure. but you have to understand that your opinion isnt valid unless you play the champ on a regular basis.

I dont play sejuani. I also dont comment on her balance. I do make comments about assassins. Its generally to ask for some means of dealing with them as an adc. If i said that zed does or doesnt fulfill the assassin fantasy, that would be a bullshit comment because i have one and only one game on him.

Meep Man3 votes

Look, Im not saying Draven is bad, incredibly boring, or anything like that. But what I am saying is he could be better. My honest opinion here, take it or leave it. I'm saying, "This champion is cool, but could be so much more." I totally get why his W is the way it is and to an extent even his E, but are they EXACTLY what is the best for the almighty Draven? Nah, not really to me. His W could be cooler and his E could be more flashy and actually tie into his axe catching. This is my opinion, as I said. It's whatever. One in a million. In a way, I'm even agreeing with your OP. His kit needs changes.

I'm just gonna throw it out there that I logged about 50 draven games in season 5, so I know a thing or two. Maybe not as much as other players, but I will say that Draven easily had the highest damage output late game at the time. Kog is bursty, sure, but Draven can burst you twice in about 1 second (2 aa), catch the axes, or fuck it and let them fall so he can keep decimating your puny, unarmored life total (or what's left of it) until you're nothing but blood stain on summoner's rift. That's what Draven does. He mercilessly beats the crap out of anyone who dares to fight him. He doesn't run. He doesn't play safely. He murders your face. If he hasn't killed you by level 3, or at least come really close, then that is probably a bad Draven.

Also, you are sitting here bitching about people who offer opinions to you about a thing you asked about, when you didn't post diddly in the op. I think you should consider yourself lucky that your thread is getting any attention at all. And for the record: you don't need to main a champion to crunch their numbers and figure out who has the highest ones. Jerk. Also, might want to hit the reply button so we know who you're talking to.

I'd like this elaborated on. He is possibly the strongest snowball champ in game, and his early game is not near as weak as other snowball champions. stand aside is one of the best CC abilities out there, temporarily stunning, displacing the opponent whichever way you want and it is one of the very few spells that will interrupt dashes. Also, the resetting movement speed of blood rush makes him very hard to run down. Also, the "lack of safety" is called "balance". Draven is a high skill cap champion, and part of that is the ability to make calls. not only that, but with Draven's passive, going 1 for 1 is actually a win for Draven. He is a polar champion, and has strong counters, but just ask him, "Draven counters everyone" and with his strong snowball potential and early game strength, if it doesn't counter Draven, it's countered by Draven, haha.

You say all of this, yet you dont actually play the champion or it would show up in your match history. How is your opinion valid when you do not play the champion?

Ruin Lance1 votes

search up "vincent draven" if you have already seen it then you don't need any more proof that he is the strongest snowball champ in the game

Woook3r1 votes

Yes. I saw him smurf in bronze and get a shit ton of kills. That was interesting. It was about as bad as the videos of jhin on the pbe, where challengers like red mercy would stomp kids and hype up the new champion for extra views on their youtube channel. Now sneaky feeds with jhin in almost every game because he is playing at his own skill level.

Edit: Yet another person who doesnt play draven.

Ruin Lance2 votes

i have level 3 with draven and stopped playing him because of the excess effort it is to efficiently play him. i could do well in lane but stopped doing well when it came to grouping and teamfighting and such. the reason he says he is possibly the strongest snowball champ in the game is because he scales extremely hard off of items, and the player's skill. if you're good with him, you're going to snowball harder and be able to keep a lead better than someone who is inexperienced with him. the same can be said with any champ but this is most true with draven, and if you play him then you should know exactly what i mean. anyway i've made my point and i don't really care much about this anymore so don't bother responding because i'm not going to read it

or you know, 2/5 my last games are Draven, but... w/e

Woook3r1 votes

im looking at your match history rn. I see one draven game. Congrats. You fed.

thät1güy3 votes

oh right, you're checking ranked history, maybe 10% of my games are in ranked, especially with Draven, as I stated, he's very snowball, and a shut down Draven is a sad Draven, and a fed Draven is near unstoppable. but in ranked I prefer consistency to chance. also, when you fill, you get a lot of support. 2/5 my last matches are Draven, 1 I fed, the other I forced a 20 min surrender. What I can't figure out is if you are mad cause your vayne got beat by a draven, or mad cause you can't play him. either way, enjoy your complimentary cup of mad bro.
