A champion with a 46% win rate and a .5% playrate is balanced but one with a 10% playrate and a 52% winrate needs nerfs. Reaper Soraka2 votesI remember a while back, a red posting about how they don't use play rate/win rate as the only aspects used from a champion to determine their balance. It had something to do with the skill necessary to play each champion as well or something.
Shortly after that just about every single balance argument made on the forums only included their win rate, and occasionally their play rate.

If a champion is at a 46% winrate and considered balanced, that is fine depending on the champion. if a champion is at a 52% winrate and considered op that is also fine depending on the champion. When people say the 46 is balanced and the 52 is not, is when i have an issue.

Yasuo has a positive winrate against far more. last i checked lux, liss, karma, zilean, ryze, and lulu are all considered mages or support mages.
