Counterplay vs Counterbuild vs Counterpick

Yes they are three different things. And each one of them represents knowledge and skill required to play this game on a competitive level. Additionally having limited itemization possibilities is tantamount to having a vulnerability to counterbuilding. All champions have different weakness and strengths and these three factors isolate these concepts. A character with high outplay potential will always have strong counterpicks and/or counterbuild options that nullify these strengths.

So making the argument that a champions lacks counterplay is not a viable argument to prove that they are Overpowered. A prime example is LeeSin. He is vulnerable to any champ with point and click cc and has only two build paths making him vulnerable to counterbuilding.

Bring on the downvotes.

Ok so if I put 10,000 damage on a point click move(500 range) that is channel'd for 3 seconds but the counterplay is to pick a stun. Is it balanced simply because you didn't pick a cc laner vs it?

No, it's not balanced. Having valuable counterplay is required within this type of game for it's part of its design values. Lee is not a good example because Riot has already stated that lee is an issue but is taking a different design value to try to make him acceptable (ie, buff everything else, which they have done indirectly now).

Of course that's unbalanced, but arguing that a champion lacks counterplay ignores the two other aspects that define a champs strengths and weaknesses. There are degrees of susceptibility to all of these and in most cases strength in one correlates to a higher weakness in others.

If an area of a champion is imbalanced then the entire champion is imbalanced in a design value system that revolves around multiple areas for balance as a requirement.

You can't say "oh this champ requires counter play" and then say "well this one is an exception". Lol no, that's called being a hypocrite.

I said that all of these factor into champion balance and that a strength in one means a greater weakness in another. You are arguing that because he lacks the same level of counterplay as other champions he's unbalanced. I am arguing that ALL three of these must be judged as a whole for every champion because all three are equally important for every champion. What's funny is that you are unable to grasp something that I've repeated at east three times. I really can't dumb it down anymore.
