Nunu nerfs and Pyke buffs?
Why?
Why?
We're actually buffing ap nunu builds. There seems to be some mismatches with what went to pbe and what we're shipping. For clarity, these are the nunu buffs
Consume (Q) Ability Power Ratio for Heal :: .5 >>> .7
Snowball Barrage (E) Per snowball Ability Power Ratio :: .05 >>> .06 (Max Ability Power Ratio :: .45 >>> .54 "Willump's Turn" (Damage Attached to Root) Ability Power Ratio :: .5 >>> .8
...Why? Nunu is a tank. His job is to engage and deliver lots of crowd control. Why do you need to buff his damage? Why is a tank's damage output EVER relevant?
They're not buffing his base damage, they're buffing his scaling. Meaning the damage he deals when he builds tank is unaffected. The buffs are aimed at AP nunu not tank nunu.
That doesn't matter. The way you build a champion doesn't change his primary role. Nunu is a tank, his kit is made to tank. You don't buff assassins to give them better wave clear or marksmen to give them more durability. Nunu's primary goal is not to deal damage, so why would they give him more damage? No one should be building him AP in the first place. He's not a battlemage.
They're buffing his scalings with AP Items, which will make an alternate playstyle with AP builds better, but shouldn't effect his tank builds at all (they only will if he builds a single AP item into full tank).
Whats planned for
?

While buffing Assassin Nunu is fun, Vanguard Nunu is his intended playstyle. Is that being touched?
First of all, the X on Pyke is already WAY too fucking big.
that doesn't explain why Pyke is being buffed?
World$ #bigplays
“Nunu nerfs”
Total PBE changes: Consume AP ratio vs Monsters increased from 50% to 70% BUFF
Snowball Barrage AP ratio increased from 5% to 6% BUFF
Willump’s Turn AP ratio increased from 50% to 80% BUFF
Champion heal AP ratio is decreased from 50% to 35% NERF
The AP ratio on Consume’s champion damage (from 70% to 50%) is a revert back to Live values.
But don’t do any research and blindly cry about bullshit for upvotes, fuck this place

Wow it was almost as if my post was 1.5 hours before the Rioter came into the thread.
Surrender at 20, which is where everyone gets their info from, has the full comprehensive changes which is where I pulled the numbers from in the first place
Stop acting smug over the fact you were wrong.
Wasn't it S@20 that was wrong?
No, it was just recorded differently on their site since S@20 didn’t do their usual PBE>LIVE number comparison. However, it said under the Nunu header that [Nunu has other changes on the PBE!] and at the bottom of every daIly PBE post on S@20 there’s a link for comprehensive balance changes in the current PBE cycle.
All in all it took 2 mins on my phone to find and compare the changes to list what were buffs and nerfs.
OP here doesn’t fucking care about Nunu. He just saw some numbers slide down, didn’t do any research because “who cares! it’s Boards.” Cherry pick stats, whether they’re right or wrong, it doesn’t matter as long as they support your narrative.
Nunu is getting buffed harder than Pyke right now.
Favoritism. Marketing. Money.
Nunu is really fkin good, can't tell exactly if broken tbh, but Pyke buffs are just the usual stupid worlds buffs
Pyke is performing poorly because he doesn't provide one of the three things a support is supposed to provide for a team, that's why. And Nunu is doing well in the hands of those with practice.
Pyke isn't performing poorly at all? He's already present in pro play and easily one of the best supports right now

Gonna have to agree with Moody all the pykes Ive seen proplay and below have been doing amazing, uping his execution window seems horribly unwise. And I honestly forgot nunu got reworked because I haven't been seeing him at all.

He has better CC than practically all supports, is harder to kill than all supports, gets to build defense and still execute targets, and since he can take kills he gets items quicker without even denying gold from his ADC. His self sustain gets to be better than Tahm, and passive provides free information. The only thing he doesn't do is heal his carry, which most supports don't do anyways.
he doesnt have any sheilds his not really like a supporg his more like a assassins with some cc. ande he doesnt have alot of cc. tham blitz braum thresh and naut has way more cc then pyke.

He fixes that with fuken Duskblade.
People are finally starting to get how to build him, and how bad Predator Nunu is.
Is it fun to OHK a squishy with it? Yes. Is it completely invalidated by any real form of mobility, causing you to be completely useless?
Also yes. Predator builds have a 42% winrate on op.gg, aftershock builds have a ~52% winrate.
The pyke buffs? Not a clue. A good Pyke is a nightmare to play against, he never dies and gets triple kill double gold every teamfight. Probably LCS buffs to make him shine for his first big debut.
Remember Yorick Mori's debut in Worlds last year?
He was disabled for the entire tournament.
Personally, I'd much rather see nunu at world's than a pyke. Pyke is super broken in the right hands, and it's not even funny.
