Maybe they are holding out on them so they can be in a huge patch of animated portraits.

I think there was also one for WW that disappeared magically.
My guesses are these aren't coming until each of the champions (Swain, Irelia, Warwick) get somewhat of a visual update. Their respective splashes are dated and Riot probably wanted to tease these early for aesthetic value.

Swain's new portrait will probably come out along the new champ select. We can hope for the same with Irelia's.
Anivia's current one was teased a long time ago before it finally came through. They're just still in the works.

For swain,it will be there when the nem champ select hit the live servers i think. For Irelia...I think she'll get her visual update first xD(and may be gameplay.I hope)

maybe they got rid of it because a VU for swain and irelia is in the works for this year and felt it would be redundant to update the splash only to have it replaced mid or late year.

Anivia's was teased and then wasn't released in aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages, so it might be the same for these two (I need the Irelia one noooooooooooow :D)

Maybe it's a Chinese splash art? For some reason, China has different (and often better) splash arts at some champions.
I wonder if anyone noticed that Swain's pinkie is lifted. lol (Might be a reference to if not a direct reference to a certain movie villain.)
